Prompt:
Rengoku and y/n cuddling under the stars on top of a mountain. (Modern Au)

You had a long day at work and were finally relieved to go on a date with your boyfriend Rengoku.

This time he had planned the date and you had no idea where it was, he only gave you coordinates and directions to it.

Before leaving you put on something cute and comfy. Then you did your hair and some light makeup. After getting ready you got your car keys and drove to the hidden location, it was pitch black outside and you could only see ahead of you because of your car lights.

Once you had gotten to the location you turned on your phone flashlight, but you were surprised to see a dim candle light.

Rengoku then shone his face near the candle and smiled gently. He walked over to you and took your hand.

"Hello my love" he smiled and led you to a blanket that had desserts and more candles that he was going to light.

"This is so romantic" you smiled "but I still don't know where we are?"

"We are on top of a mountain" she shined a flashlight into the air so you could see your surroundings.

"Wow, this might be your most creative date yet" you looked at the stars after he turned the flashlight off.

He lit the rest of the candles and then sat down beside you. "I chose tonight because there's going to be a meteor shower, and it's going to be amazing, I've never seen one in person but I've seen videos"

Rengoku had just moved from japan to go to college in America, you met him on your first day of school and two weeks later you started dating. You were now 3 months into your relationship.

"It's wonderful and thrilling" you said to him and then looked at a paper box that seemed to have food in it. "What's in there?" You asked and pointed to it.

"Oh, well I got your favorite dessert, you told me when we first started dating" he opened a box of chocolate covered strawberries.

"You remembered?" You smiled widely and gasped.

"How could I forget?" He smiled in return and set the box down.

"Have you ever tried chocolate strawberries?" You picked one up.

"Nope, I don't even know what one tastes like" he laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Here, try this" you held the one you picked up to his mouth.

He took a bite into it and immediately his eyes widened. "This is delicious!" He said after he ate the strawberry "Now I understand why you like these so much."

"Mhm" you nodded and picked up another strawberry to eat it. He picked one up as well.

"Wait I have an idea, I saw some other people doing this the other day" he fed you the strawberry he had in his hand.

You turned bright red from his affection and then fed yours to him. After eating the strawberry you laughed a little "that is one of the most cutest things you've ever done"

"I do the best for you" he smiled and cupped one of your cheeks with his hand.

You kissed his hand gently and smiled.

This caused him to turn bright red as well "I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend"

"And I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend" you replied.

He blew a few candles out and then laid down and looked up at the stars.

You laid down beside him and cuddled up close to him.

"I don't want you to leave me after college.." you whispered and buried your face in his side.

"Who said I'm leaving you?" He gently stroked your hair with his delicate hand.

"I don't know, most people I've known have a tendency to break up with a partner when they graduate college" you messed with the buttons on his jacket.

"Well I can make you a promise now that I won't, you're the first person I've ever been in love with, I've been in relationships but you're the only one I've fell for.." he sounded a bit embarrassed but also happy at the same time.

"You love me?" You sat up and looked at him even though he was hard to see

"With all my heart" he smiled and pulled you down for a kiss

You kissed him back and smiled into it. His lips were so soft and warm, the way he was gentle with you was like no other, he liked to protect you and make you feel special and wanted.

You both let go and you went back to laying down next to him to cuddle. You draped one of your arms over him and held one of his hands, intertwining and locking fingers.

This was the best feeling in the world, sitting with your boyfriend and just enjoying being there.

"So got any big plans tomorrow" Rengoku asked as his thumb gently caressed your hand.

"No, what do you have in mind?"

"I was wondering if I could take you out to dinner, somewhere fancy" a smile pursed his lips

"I would love to, it would make me the happiest girl in the world" you kissed his cheek.
