It's Saturday morning and Tala was awakened by the noise of her alarm clock, she looked at it and the time is exactly 7:00 am. She shutted it with her hand and sat up lazily from bed. she then blantly placed her feet down to the floor and wore her slippers on as she stroke her sleepy eyes and stood up shuffling out of her room.
She made her way downstairs and stood at the middle of the staircase as she saw her mom on the Den still asleep on the couch with the comforter that she used to cover her from a cold last night.
A bunch of scratch papers scattered on the floor and on the tea table, including her mom's drawing materials. She shook her head glaring at her mom and made her way proceeding downstairs and walked through the dining room and directly to the kitchen. She openned the fridge and pour herself a glass of milk and made a cheese sandwhich.
She sat down on the island counter whilst she took the news paper and read it for more than ten minutes."good morning honey" a warm sweet voice of Sylvia, Tala's mom.she stood behind her daughter and locked the young lady in her arms and kisses her cheek liked a baby.
"How's my baby girl?, how's school?" The older lady stated missing her only lovely daughter.
"I'm good mom, school is better I'll show you my design later" Tala proudly telling her mom and planning to surprise her with her good grades. "really?, can't wait baby" Sylvia stated still hugging her daughter glancing at her.
"Mom you seemed so busy lately and you fell asleep on the sofa last night." Tala stated concerning her mother overpouring herself to work, so workaholic.
"owh I haven't notice I already fell asleep, you're the one who covered me with my comforter! I felt it" Sylvia stated as she let go of the hug and walked towards the opposite side of the counter and makes herself a coffee, she smiled sweetly, in her mind she thinks of her daughter as very caring.
"and if it wasn't me, who else were you expecting?" Tala uttered."owh nobody but my baby girl" Sylvia declared and winked an eye to her daughter as she stirred her coffee.
"mom! that is why we have twenty-four hours a day,so the rest of it is for us to halt from the extra daily pain of the earth" Tala reminding her mom to rest and take good care of her health.
"honey. this is for your future you are already in college-.." Sylvia stated trying to make her daughter penetrate her predicament but Tala cutted her out· "I can look for a job, I'm twenty!" Tala stated with her determination to help her mom.
"no! ah- ah! never! I want you to stay focus on your studies and besides I know how hard the course you're taking, my job as a production designer and as an Art Director is huge enough to sustain our needs and your studies so there's no way on earth that I'm gonna let my baby girl get some extra working thing just to suit herself from her guilt"Sylvia protested and sternly declared her plans for her daughter's future pointing her finger on air.She only wants the best of everything for her.
"I just want to help mom, you've been working so hard all your life just to sustain me and you've already given the best of you for my sake" Tala stated with a guilt look on her face and cringed her head.
"honey let me ask you something" Sylvia staring at her daughter with her penetrating eyes as she leaned her right hand on the counter and her left hand holding her waist.
"yep?" Tala sighed and looked at her mother. "why are you taking Interior Design? why not Law?, why not Medical Courses? why not business?" Sylvia tilted her head and furrowed a brows as she narrows her eyes asking her daughter's decision for choosing the course she's taking.
