"𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐘, you still have the last part of your closet to pack up, c'mon you're slacking," I glare at the girl in front of me, sitting on my bed, her curly hair slightly sticking out of her messy bun.
"𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐑𝐇𝐄𝐀, I am aware of that, why don't you wake your lazy ass up and help me a little, maybe this process would be quicker," she shrugged getting up and walking over to the black, glossed over cupboard on the left side off the room, "I'm telling you babes, you're making a mistake leaving all these dresses over here, I mean what if you have a date, oh and look at all those sundresses," I shake my head as she continues to gush over my dresses. "I've told you this a million times, I'm not ready to get back into the dating field as yet, I'm not gonna need those dresses, and besides if I do ever need them, I can take a drive, you're acting as if we're heading all the way over to Miami" a silly grin appears on Rhea's face, "I'm just prepared you idiot, we wouldn't want you not taking something and regretting it later, right?" I gave a slight nod and focused on what was infront of me. "But I surely don't want those dresses, it's just adding more weight, 6 dresses is enough for me."

"𝐀𝐋𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓, you all ready Hens?" my dad asks me, I gave him a nod, "Yes dad, I'm ready" he walks up to me, embracing me in a hug. I've always been closer to my dad than my mom, so letting me leave was harder on my dad than my mom. I feel another pair of arms wrap around me, recognizing it to be my mom's arms, so I'm sandwiched between both of my parents. "The last person from the summers family is leaving the house already, it feels as if it was just yesterday I was dropping you off at kindergarten and you had tears streaming down your face saying how you were afraid to make friemds and that the other kids wouldn't like you" I groaned, "Mooommm, we agreed to never mention that again." They let go of the embrace and I stood there with my lips pouted, my mom laughing at my childishness.
"𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓, if you ever need us, we're only a phone call away, and don't hesitate, okay?" "Yes dad, I won't" he gives me a warm smile, "When is all your furniture gonna be in?" I chew in the inside of my cheek quickly thinking about it, "Well I think the guy said it would be delivered in like two to three days so the second day I'm in the apartment? I think." both of my parents nod. "The car is running fine? The engine okay? Oil filled? Full gas? Water checked?" my dad adds in, I'm taking his car for the road to the dorm since it had more space for storage and this weekend he'll probably come with my car and switch out, "Yea everything is fine, I have like 10 minutes before Rhea arrives, so I'm just going to do a quick double check, yea?" I got a yes from both of them and made my way upstairs, doing a quick look about.

𝐃𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐂𝐊 𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐌𝐘 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌 , I see my desk in its usual spot besides besides the glass cornered window, my Grey walls with a few pictures hanging around, the beds white comforter tightly pulled over the sides with the Grey blanket neatly layered across the bottom at the foot of the bed, the pillows lined at the top. I see the way my LED lights were loosely coming off at the edges because I hadn't stuck them on properly, and the room itself which now have very few of my things here. I sigh and turn around closing the door, which I won't open for the next 6 months or more.
𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐒 𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑, I see her laying in her bed, still in her pyjamas. "Hey mom," she gives me a smile, "Hey Dani, packed already?" I give her a nod before sitting down on her king sized bed. "It's going to be lonely around here now baby" I show her a sad smile, "I know, I'm sorry I couldn't get a college closer to home, it's just this one had all the -" she cut me off, "No sweetheart, it's fine, I'll be okay, don't worry about me. Atleast you're getting what you want and you're going to be happy, that's all that matters," I frown at her sentence, "I always get what I want mom, if you turned this down I would be completely okay, just, say the word and I won't go," she dismissed my sentence, "Go, Go follow your dreams, don't worry, okay? I love you," I bend toward and place a kiss on her forehead, "I love you too mom,"

𝐈 𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐁𝐌𝐖 pull up in the distance and decide to pack my bags into the trunk, seeing the blonde jump out the car. "Hey Daniel!" "Sup Corbyn" Corbyn, he was the softest in our group, always making friends easily. As I set the last suitcase in the trunk I look up and see Ashley, Corbyns sister, jumping out the car. "Is Ashley gonna drive your car to the estate or are you gonna go with her?" he shook his head, "No, I'm hopping with you dude, I think Anna said she was going to hop in with her, didn't she tell you?" "Oh yea, must've slipped my mind" he nodded, "I think Jordan will fetch the two at like 5" "Thanks, ready to leave?" "Yea, cmon".
𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐀𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐘 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐁𝐘𝐄 to my mom we all jumped into our cars and started the 3 hour drive to the college

"𝐑𝐇𝐄𝐀, hurry up, we have to have to leave in like 5 minutes so stop trying on dresses and just change back into your usual clothes." she groaned and mumbles a fine before heading back to where her clothes were placed and started changing once again.
" 𝐈'𝐌 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐆𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 downstairs and start saying my goodbyes, I'll meet you there okay?" "Yea". Waking down the stairs I look beside me to see the few family frames, alongside the wall, all frames either plain white or black. As I reach the bottom I see my parents had already taken my suitcases that were previously situated next to the dining room table, and put them in the car. "I just came to say in last goodbye," both my parents simultaneously frowned, "Already?" my mom asks, "You'll get to see me this weekend, don't be so down" "But that's like 4 days away" I smile at my dad's behavior, "Yea and it'll come by real quick, you'll be just fine without me" I pulled them in for one last hug just as Rhea walks down the stairs. I let go of them and allow Rhea to give them a quick hug, "We're gonna miss you too Rhea, be careful sweetie" Rhea gives them a wide smile, "I will, thank you for being like my second parents I'll see you this weekend?" "Ofcourse kiddo" I run and give them one last hug and me and Rhea walk out the door to my dad's camo wrapped 2017 Jeep Wrangler.
𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 into the driver's seat and starting it up, I let the engine run for about 5 minutes letting the car heat up before backing out of the driveway my parents waving at us. "Damn, we're already leaving for college" I hear Rhea say, "Yea babes, we are". And just like that, our journey to college has started.
