Tae 🎷🐯: Yoongi we're here!
Y: aight i'm comin
I ran down the stairs, around the corner and opened up the door. Tae had a black suit on with a red tie and a black button-up under the jacket. Jungkook was wearing a red suit jacket, black pants, a white button up and a black tie. Their outfits matched perfectly and I immediately felt awful that I was going to be a third wheel for a sophomore and a freshman my senior year.
Tae walked in and looked at my suit, "You look great, Yoongi! We got you a boutineer too, so you don't feel left out." The red and black theming of the flowers fit with my white suit jacket that was brimmed with black. I was wearing a white button-up underneath with a black bowtie and black pants.
"So, do you guys want to eat at the school or go somewhere before."
"I for one don't feel like getting food poisoning, so could we go somewhere else?" Jungkook inputted.
Tae thought for a moment and his face quickly lit up, "OH! Could we go to the Ramen House?"
"Sure, you guys ready to go?"
"Yep!"
They got in the back of my car, further proving my theory that I was just the friend group's UBER driver.
"So, you guys haven't gotten any backlash for hanging out or being together?" Jungkook and Taehyung looked at each other and then back at me. "Sorry, that came across worse than it was supposed to, it's just kids at this school really like their stereotypes and they don't like people who date the same gender...... You guys don't have to act like nothing happened yesterday... I know you saw it. Everyone saw it."
"Yoongi, I'm really sorry that happened. I just don't think anyone has noticed Jungkook and I, we're pretty lowkey, and people don't even think we know each other's names. At the game the other day Jungkook played it off as we just happened to sit next to him and his other friends at the game."
"Okay, well don't get into any trouble, people at this school tend to treat anything remotely different to their vision of "normal" with absolute disrespect."
Tae reached up and put a hand on my shoulder, "Don't worry about us, we'll be fine."
We reached the restaurant and I just wanted to sit alone. The tables were small and romantic; I was done with always ruining the mood.
"Can we get two tables, please?" I asked the host. She nodded and led us to our separate tables, leaving no time for Jungkook or Taehyung to argue.
I sat down and looked at my phone.
Stupid ass hoe: Don't go to the dance today.
I rolled my eyes, I forgot to block him earlier.
Y: shut the fuck up, don't text me.
I noticed I had another message from Jimin also.
Jimin: Yoongi, please don't go to the dance today.
Y: why should i listen to you? it's my senior year, i am going to my last homecoming.
My heart started speeding up as my mind raced through all the reasons Hoseok and Jimin would be telling me to stay away from the dance.
I quickly shook it off when I noticed the server setting my food on the table.
"Thanks."
She nodded and walked away.
I finished up and waited for Jungkook and Tae. Watching them from afar just made everything worse. They were laughing and throwing chopsticks at each other, I just wanted someone to laugh and throw chopsticks at me. Okay, maybe not that, but I wanted to feel like I belonged.
