The wind blew, swishing Sugawara's soft hair as he headed to the main office building behind the village. It was starting to get chilly outside as the weather changed from summer to fall. Suga didn't mind though, he loved Halloween! It was one of his favorite holidays next to Christmas. Around this time the family's that lived in their territory would start putting up beautiful decorations for the holidays coming up.Sugawara greeted family's as he walked by. Being second in command to half of the country really put his name out their, but at least people wouldn't be frightened as he walked by. After all he was like a motherly figure to most of the village their office is located in.
After dodging running children and thankfully excepting small offerings from the elderly, Sugawara arrived at the office where Daichi was located at the moment. Walking into the lobby he greeted Enoshita, who was working the front counter, and made his way to the elevator. Pressing the button to take him to his and Daichi's floor, he patiently waited while humming the small tune that played over the small speakers in the elevator.
Looking at the papers in his hand he started to wonder. Is this about the intruders again? I hope not. Daichi's already got so much stress to handle already, we don't need more problems. Maybe I could help him with this info... but he would never let me. He's to stubborn to let me help him *sigh*. Ding.
The elevator opened and snapped Sugawara from his thoughts. Gripping the stack of papers tightly, he walks down towards Daichi's office. Arriving infront of the door his hands started shaking. He didn't know if it was because he was worried for the problems they might have to face, or because he was about to come face to face with his long time crush for the first time in a week.
Either way the door opened and there stood Daichi. As if he knew that Sugawara was standing there before he opened the door, he opened the door wider and backed up some for him to walk in. Mentally taking a breathe, Suga pulled the papers to his chest and confidently walked past Daichi placing the papers on his desk. Walking around to sit in hit seat, he smiled at him.
Daichi smirked, "You know that's my chair right?" He said, amusement lacing his voice. Sugawara pretended to looks innocent. "Is it really? Oh I'm so sorry!" He said tracing his tiny fingers across the edge of the papers. Looking up, he smiled at Daichi and continued to say, "But I didn't ask." Daichi chuckled and shook his head. "Same as always, nice and feisty.... just how I like them!!" He winked closing the door.
Walking over to Sugawara he sat down in the visitor chair in front of his desk. Grabbing the papers, he started reading them to him self. "Ahem" Suga interrupted. "Aren't you gonna read them out loud? I want to know what's happening to you know?" He looked dead straight into Daichi's eyes. Even though Daichi doesn't usually let him read stuff like this, he sighed and handed him a paper. He was second in command anyways.
They both started reading the stuff. Suga, not knowing that Daichi had only given I'm the part about the new recruits, smiled when he saw some of the 'first years' information about skill. These kids were gonna help a lot with missions!
Daichi noticed Sugawara's cute smile and grabbed a blank piece of paper. Folding it up into a paper airplane, he threw it at Suga's forehead. This startled him causing him to drop the papers on the desk and flinch majorly. Looking up at Daichi, he pouted. "Daichi get back to work!! We don't have time for messing around, this time of the year is really busy!!" He whined at Daichi.
Daichi rolled his eyes, "Yes mother" He said in a British accent. Sugawara rolled his eyes, he had always been called that by his teammates. He didn't mind it until he overheard Nishinoya calling Daichi 'dad' once. He was so embarrassed!
Thanks to this memory he was now madly blushing in front of Daichi. Spinning in the chair to face the window behind the desk. He looked at the town about a few blocks away. There was something off...
Facing back towards Daichi he glanced at the papers he was holding very quickly. Mafia.... intrude.... month. Those were the only words he got in the quick 1.5 second he looked at the paper, but he knew it wasn't about new recruits. Tsk! Daichi's always hiding stuff from me to keep me safe... but this time I'm gonna find out what he's hiding! Quickly standing up, Suga walked around the desk. Daichi quickly shuffling the papers he had in his hand to try and keep them away from him.
Looking him in the eyes he said, "No!" Sugawara sighed. He had been caught before he even got half way around the desk. "Well I'm about to head down to my office, I have some work to do." He said standing behind Daichi. Daichi stood up to give Suga a quick hug like they usually do when he is about to leave. Suga excepted the hug, and even held Daichi a second longer than usual. Letting go they said their good byes and he walked out slipping his phone in his back pocket.
Daichi smiled at his retreating figure and went back to reading the papers. You see, there was a minor problem that could lead to something very dangerous and horrible for his mafia and the people that lived in the territory.
Meanwhile...
Sugawara made it to his office making sure the door was shut and locked good. Quickly he pulled his phone back out of his pocket, opening up to the 'Photos' app and looking for a certain set of pictures. A certain set of pictures he may or may not have taken behind Daichi's back as they were hugging.
Looking at the paper on his phone, he covered his mouth and leaned gained the wall. Sliding down it, he continued reading over and over again, not believing what he was seeing.
Their back......
