" What did you want? I asked.
"I...I...ca.. ca.me to tell... he stammer .
"I can see you gat nothing better to say I said and turn to head inside .
" I got you a job!
" I stop on my track and turn to look at him.
" Are you kidding me? I said glaring at him.
"Am serious Tanner he said now smiling because he knows how am seriously In need of job, I hardly spend two weeks in any work place before they fired me because I normally create a scene by fighting the customers or abusing my boss .
" I got fired in eight different jobs , my house rent is gonna be due this month more reasons I need a job because I can't cope with my landlady drama.
" Tanner! I was brought back to the present by David, that is the pot belly boy name.
" Yes! I said staring at him.
"Is...a.. Maid job and you gonna be his PA too he said looking frightened.
"What! I said looking very surprised with my eyes out.
" You except me to use my P.H.D . as a maid, are you mad? I said angrily turn my back at him.
"The salary is $800 he said and I widen my eyes.
"I turned to face him and gave him my best smiling face, when can I start? I said to him.
"He smiled sheepishly at me ,the idiot thinks am falling for him.
" You are going for the interview tomorrow but I need to tell you something about the Job.
" Go on, am listening I said ,this time we are sitting on the bench in front of my apartment.
"If you are lucky you are going to be the maid of CEO Pacola's company.
" Wow! I said imaging working for a rich dude .
"The problem is he hates lady who dressed to kill to seduce him more reason he fired his current maid stated David.
"Oh.. OK.
" So you need to dress like a pauper if you want to be employed.
" No problem.
" This is the address, you are to be there by 8am, don't wake up late Tanner he said pleading and I rolled my eyes at him.
"He knows me to be a heavy sleeper that's why he is telling me. I normally wake up around 11am to 11:30am.
" OK.. OK... I said standing up.
" Let me go and sleep so I can wake up very early tomorrow .
"OK! he said and smile at me .
" Good night I said as I unlocked my door.
"Tanner! he called my name again.
"What! I snapped at him.
"He is already used to my nagging so he wasn't moved by my response, am starting gym tomorrow so I can have six pack and slim down he said proudly.
"You will still look ugly I said and went inside and I could see sadness written all over his face as I close my door but I care less.
"To be honest, David is handsome, he just need to slim down and know how to dress that's all he need but am not gonna tell him that Ugh! I thought to myself and flopped on my bed thinking of the interview am going tomorrow before sleep take over me.
"Thanks to my alarm I was able to wake very early, I quickly take my bath, dressed and head out.
"I got to the house and I was Wow at how elegant the building is, only God knows how much was spent to build it.
"I pressed the door bell in front of the gate and a man in his early fifties open the gate for me.
"He looked at me as if he just see a ghost but I care less.
"Am here for the interview I said chewing my bubble gum.
" O.. OK, Come in he said and open the gate widely for me to come in.
" I entered swinging my hands side ways and I was surprised at the number of ladies who came for the interview.
" All eyes were on me immediately and I could see them murmuring and pointing at me, I felt like giving them a piece of my mind but am gonna create a scene.
"Calm down Tanner, remember how much they gonna pay you if you are employed , don't create a scene I said calming myself.
"A group of lady walked up to me and said why did you have to dress like a mad person because of $800 said the one in the front which I guess is their leader. I guess the cops didn't see you they would have taken you to hospital she said and burst into laughter with the rest.
"To the hell with $800 I said under my breath and was about to slap her when our attention was called that the CEO is coming .
" They quickly went back to their spot and we all compose ourselves.
" The CEO came out and my eyes widen .
" He was busy talking to someone on phone, when he is done his gaze met mine and he was surprised too.
"You! He said looking at me his eyes blazing with anger and all eyes are on me again.
"Am in for trouble I said to myself.
