4th year!!!
You were on your way to potions when you heard your best friend Rowan calling to you, "(Y/n) (Y/N)!!", "Hey Rowan what is it?" you asked facing him/her. "Dumbledore wants all 4th years in the great hall for an announcement," "oh ok thanks let's go!" you chirped. As you and Rowan walked to the great hall you talked about what the announcement could be and if it had anything to do with the vaults.
At the Great Hall
"Alright you young wizards and witches I have some good news, it is once again time for the Celestial Ball," when Dumbledore paused all the fourth years cheered, clapped, and yelled (if you're not to the fourth year yet he talks about the ball and needing a manager for the decorations and Penny says she's interested in running for the manager spot)
After explaining the Ball, it is about meal time and Dumbledore let's everyone sit where they please
You, Rowan, Penny, Tonks, Ben, Barnaby, Tulip, Charlie, Bill and Andre say together at the end of the (Y/h) table. "Hey! (Y/n) do you know who you want to go to the ball with!" Bill asked teasingly already knowing. You thought about it your mind immediately going to a certain blonde Gryffindor and your face turning red, "No" you lied , "W-what about you Andre?" When Ben heard you're question his head dropped and his demeanor became even more timid. You glanced his way as Andre responded , "I'm not sure I think I'm going to go alone and just help with peoples' outfits" "Well aren't we all going as a group?" Penny giggled. "Well I guess" Tonks responded. "I don't know if I'll go, I'll never get a date anyway" Ben said the last part quietly, glancing in your direction and darting his head back down. "I don't think I'll go either I want to tutor some second years on nox to get some extra (y/h) points" Rowan stated. "What? No you two have to go with us" you exclaimed and made a pouty face. "Ben, Rowan you know that the celestial ball is a big time for fourth years right?" Bill smiled. "Oooh did you hear the thing about the teachers needing help decorating!!" Penny sounded excited as you conversed about the ball Bill talking about his when he was a fourth year,
You and your friends spent the rest of dinner talking about the ball
You and Rowan both trudged back to the (y/h) common room and dorms and bid each other goodnight. After which you flopped on your small bed and thought up how to ask Ben to go to the ball face turning red thinking of when you first met and how cute he was until you fell asleep.
Next Morning
You woke up felling well rested ready for morning charms class walking with Rowan {[Penny, and Tonks(Hufflepuff)],[Tulip,and Andre(Ravenclaw)],[Charlie and another Gryffindor (Gryffindor)],[Barnaby and another Slytherin (Slytherin)]}, however when you got to the hall and were almost there you three froze as you saw something you didn't expect..
