Prologue: The Accident

It's an early summer morning, the suns bright glowing rays breakthrough the dark green curtains of Delany's room hitting her bed. With every minute it crawling further up the bed until it reached her face. Her eyes slowly twitched while the sun sparkled on her face and twinkled in her eyes as she slowly opened them.

She had finally woke up. Her face drained as if every inch of hope was gone. She sat up, rubbed her eyes and reached for her glasses. As she put on her glasses her vision became clear as she stood up and walked towards the window. she stared out into the morning world and noticed the daisies in her lawn glowing bright yellow in the sunlight and the light blue sky clear with a hint of refreshment.

Delany then went through her daily morning task. Made some coffee 2 sugars cup of cream. Brushed her teeth after some nice bagels with some butter. Not cream cheese. Why? I don't know. She then later leaves and heads to work in her long sleeve yellow shirt and blue Jean's.
Delany then starts her journey to work. It takes her about an hour on foot to make it to work. But she cant complain she likes the exercise and the scenery. Who wouldnt the walk beneath the skyline under the trees while the sun flares through the leaves warming her body slowly. Gleaming onto her.

Then she arrives. To the lab. Well more specifically her lab. The only ones working the lab are delany and her assistant. His name is Raphael hes been helping delany ever since the beginning of her adventure. Delany goal. Her task has been to try and unlock a hidden genome within certain mammals. She first checked to see if she could find it in rats, mice, even some hamsters. But it ended In failure. No evidence was shown to hold that hidden genome. Until one day a sample was corrupted by a unknown source that looked human enough. She knew she made a breakthrough. Her next challenge was to experiment.

Later that month delany went around and studied hundreds of different blood, skin, hair, any samples people were willing to give to her. And she learned that this specific strand she was looking for this extra special genome was only found in a few people. She had studied over a hundred donations. With her only ever finding 1 example of the genome that being one from a source who was unknown, But that in the end didnt stop her. She studied again and again. Reaching a near 1000 donations. With that class of 1000 donations only 2 where deemed special 1 was the union donor as the other one was special to delany. That was because the second sample was her own sample. She was a carrier of the genome. She was a subject. This intrigued delany and only fueled her flame for knowledge about itm

Knowing that she was a carrier delany tried everything she knew all possible combinations of chemicals. Everything to unlock this genome and see its possibilities. Even things that seemed scientifically wrong she was able to do since she was a carrier of the genome. Then on one cold dark stormy night she did it! She well did it in a way she didnt expect. That night working in the lab late again. Delany was mixing chemicals expect as she was mixing chemicals there was a comet crossing over the night sky that affected the chemicals with some sort of radiation it seemed. This radiation improperly merged with the chemicals and as Delany unknowingly mixed these chemicals together. It caused a chain reaction that caused an explosion that shocked the entire building creating a blackout within a hundred mile radius. And from the center of the blast a dark red gas was scattered around the city until it soon disappeared. When all this had started the gas merged with a storm cloud above Delaney's lab striking her down with a bolt of lightning. Now delany consumed in energy from the shock of lightning fell to the ground. As she fell her eyes glowed her body shocked the area around it destroying everything around her. And as she laid on the floor the red gas from before circled around her hands and then disappearing as Delanys eyes close we see Raphael rush over leaning over her body dodging the shocks of lightning coming from her and as the lightning dies down Raphael leans over her scared and confused as the room becomes black.
