Calm down Y/N. Don't Jump into conclusions. He definitely doesn't meant it in romantically way. Still, just by saying that he likes me, already made my legs tremble.

"You like me?" i manage to ask him without stuttering. Bet i look normal outside but shit, i'm probably dying inside.

"Of course i like you! You're my friend after all!" i knew it. I knew that he didn't like me in that way. I shouldn't feel disappointed right? I expected this anyway. As if there is someone out there who will like me romantically.

I smiled at him bitterly. "Thank you for liking me." He stop walking, and so i did. I look at him confusedly. Why did he stop walking?

"Y/N-chan you know, you look absolutely beautiful when you're smiling," He looks down at me, his cheeks taint slight pink. A small frown was made by me. Frustrated because he was giving mixed signals. You damn owl.

Seriously..... Just a while a go he said he liked me, sadly only as a friend which was fine with me since i expected it to turn out that way.

And now he's telling me that i look beautiful whenever i'm smiling while blushing a bit! Just what the hell?

"But that smile you made earlier looks a bit disheartened." I was surprised. How did he saw through me?

The girl was probably unaware of pair of golden eyes that were always watching her. That's most likely that the guy who owns those golden eyes can tell that the smile the girl made was a fake one.

The girl didn't answer as they continue walking off to school. The guy also didn't say anything to her anymore, helplessly thinking if the girl he 'liked' interpreted what he said as if her smile she made earlier looked ugly which made him panic.

'No! I didn't meant it in that way! Please Y/N-chan don't interpret it the wrong way! Please don't hate me!' the guy smacking himself in his head which the girl notice and give him a quick glance but ignore it afterwards.

'You messed up Koutarou! Big time! She definitely hates you now!'  The guy thought and was in the verge of crying.

Still walking together, the two made it into school and but just after Bokuto barely stepped in their school, he was greeted by one of his teammate.

"Ah Captain, good morning!" his teammate glance at the girl that his captain is with and got the urge to tease him about it but he remembered what's his business with the captain early this morning. "Change into your volleyball uniform already! We have morning practice today!" his teammate blurted out pretty loud, gaining a few glances by the students who just got in from the entrance gate.

"Huh?! Why?!" The owl guy was confused since their coach didn't say anything about having morning practice today.

"We received a call from Nekomata-sensei and asked Yamiji-sensei if they could have a practice match with us today."
