She kind of lost her self in the mix of it all
Looking for the right way to go
She was still stuck in her ways
Even though she so badly wanted a change
Hiding behind a mask, faking a smile 7 hours a day
She drowns herself in the lyrics of songs
Remembering things she wanted so desperately to forget
Maybe living this life style is just a big cry for help
She did good in school and she payed attention
It wasn't enough for anyone, not even herself
She continued to wear that same fucking mask
Sometimes even when she got home
She stared at herself in the mirror as she pulled it off one day
She smiled at her reflection
Only to crack the mirror
The shattered glass reminded her of everything she wanted to forget so badly,
