Nicholas's Pov-

Today was the day when I had to go on that so-called assignment, along with my best friends, who also happen to be the best fighters of the pack.

My father, had been nagging me to go on this assignment, where I had to be a high school student for six months. And the most ironical part was, it was me who in a way, was the reason of why this plan was chosen. This plan is supposed to be a proof to the humans of our sincerity about the "contract of alliance". A proof that we can control our hunger and their breed is at no harm with us around them.

I guess you all must be confused.
Let me take you to a month back.

***

"They have rejected our proposal alpha" I heard, as soon as I entered my father's study. My father is Alexander Lycan, the alpha of Lycan Blood pack. My father seemed uncharacteristically disturbed about this news.

"But there must be a way out Beta James", on my words, both him and my father turned their attention towards me.

"Yes, indeed there must be, infact, there is, but for that we will be needing your help Nicholas." I was about to ask him the plan, when he cut me off. "But before getting on my plan, I want to know what is your take in this matter. William here suggests that we should rather not let those 'weak pathetic humans', as he calls them, insult us and teach them a lesson."

All of the eyes now turned towards me, even of gamma William who earlier was paying no heed to my presence in the room.
My father has recently started asking for my opinions in pack-related matters, seeing that soon I had to take his place as the alpha.

"Father, I do understand Gamma William's point of veiw and his obvious anger towards those 'pathetic humans' after all they did kill his mate when he ruthlessly killed the whole town during the war seventy four years back", my words made everyone but my father gasp, and for William to look at me with pure hatred. "You have no right to talk about my mate like that. Besides neither this matter nor my opinion is in anyway related to her death! So it would be better if you come back to the point!", he spat.

My father was well aware of my no-nonsense attitude and that I never sugar-coated shit.
Giving no reaction to William's outburst I continued, "But, on the other hand I also understand that we supernatural creatures have given a very few reasons to humans to trust us, therefore its infact very normal of them to reject our sudden proposal of alliance."
"Also, many of you would agree that war is not the way out, though even after all the preparations humans have made, our victory is decided, yet a war will cause a lot of pointless bloodloss and destruction. Therefore, I will be willing to help you in your every plan to avoid those miseries."

My father had that rare look of admiration in his eyes, which made me know that my opinion was approved by him.

"So here is my plan....", he began.

***

Now that is how, us, me and my five friends ended up being a part of this plan, where we have to live in pure human locality for next six months, cause no havoc and thereby prove that we are trustworthy.

Just thinking about it made me realize, how long these six months are going to be.
