When Devils Collide!

Ch-4 The walk

Nicholas's POV-
"I am going out", I said in a curt voice as soon as we reached our rooms.
Going out I could hear Riley say, "He is going to lose it soon, so much patience is so unlike him. We must be prepared to control him when that happens."

I didn't pay heed to the further conversation and went out for a run. I really need to relieve some aggression, else I will indeed mess it up. Riley isn't exactly wrong, patience is not one of my best traits.

I went to the forest surrounding the town and transformed into my wolf form. My wolf was really happy to be out after so long. Suddenly I smelled a really alluring scent of chocolate and rose. I don't know what was it about this scent that made my wolf lose all its control and run towards it.

Soon, I reached a cave, where there was this beautiful girl, trying to fight a lion to save a kid, of not more than nine years, presumingly her brother. How could a human girl fight so well, with a frigging lion! My wolf was literally killing me from inside to go towards her.
"Mate, she is our mate! She is so beautiful! She is so strong! But she is attacking the lion, what if she attacks us? What if she hates animals? But I can't smell her wolf, is she human? But werewolves don't have human mates! What is happening? What if she rejects us because of me? Oh moon goddess, how can you do this to me! I know this pathetic human is an atheist but what have I ever done to deserve such cruelty."
"Just shut the fuck up! Let me save her" I said.

I went inside the cave and growled.

Emma's POV-
As always after I returned from my fight, I decided to go to the cave. The forest gave me a weird feel of peace. Most of the people would say that the woods are creepy at night, but in my opinion they are just beautiful.
My friends would call this another proof of me being psychotic, but who gives a single fuck about them? Not me.

I went to my cave, not technically mine but I love going in it and staying there till dawn, it's just behind the waterfalls, almost no one knows about that place.
As I went out in the woods, I could feel that someone was following me, I went off a different route to mislead whoever it was. Just as I was about to finally head to the cave, I turned to see who the person was and luckily so, because he turned out to be my little brother.

"Why the hell were you following me Ethan?" I shouted. I was literally agitated right now.
My brother made his adorable puppy face, which he knew would not let me be angry at him.
"No, don't give me your puppy face!" I said.
Let me tell you about this crazy boy who I call my brother. He is just eight year old, but damn he is so so annoying. Weren't kids supposed to be cute? Superficially yeah he is, with his beautiful blue eyes and adorable smile.
But he is such a pain in the ass.

"Do you know how dangerous it is to roam about in the forest at this hour!" I said.
"Exactly, sis!" He retorted.
"Besides, I also wanna see your secret place!"

"Fine! Come with me, I will show you today. Consider this your birthday gift."

And that's how I ended up with my brother, in the cave. But there was an unwanted guest too, a frigging lion. Just my luck. The day my brother follows me is the very day a lion decides to pay me a visit. Great! Just great!

I always bring a knife with me, in the forest and so I got ready to fight with the lion. As soon as it attacked, I don't know what came over me, all I could see was red. The feeling was almost similar to the times I have lost control while fighting in the arena, but this was way more stronger. It felt as if I was a complete different person.
Soon I also heard a wolf growl. "This is gonna be a real long night!" I mummered. I got ready to fight the wolf too, but to my utter surprise, it rather attacked, the lion.
It wasn't long before the lion was injured and ran off to the forest.

The wolf started coming towards me, I took my defensive stance, I mean yeah it saved me but it's a wolf.

Seeing my defensive stance, it bowed it's head, as if saying that it means no harm. My crazy brother on the other hand got all jolly, seeing that bit of friendliness in the wild creature. He ran and literally hugged the huge wolf thanking him, even before I could stop him. Surprisingly, the wolf snuggled closer to my brother than attacking him.
I went closer to it. It looked at me with beautiful ruby colored eyes. They would have seemed so dangerous, if not for the loving look in them.
I bent down and said, "thank you for saving me Wolfie" and the wolf licked my chin. What in the hell was that! It's a wolf not a dog, and he licked me!

"I am sure I'm dreaming, why else would such a huge wolf that can snap my head easily, lick me? Yes, that's what it is, it's a dream" I said to myself.

The wolf let out a soft sound, almost like a chuckle. Many people would call me crazy for finding a wolf cute. But that's what it seemed, with my brother snuggled and asleep in it's fur. Wait! Snuggled and asleep! "Ethan wake up", I began. But the wolf growled lowly, as if asking me not to wake him up.

"But we need to head home, it's almost dawn, we have school to attend." I said. Great! Now I am talking to a wolf. Am I really psychotic?
The wolf adjusted my brother on its back, with almost human delicacy and started moving out of the cave.
"So, you are gonna carry my brother for me?" I said and it nodded. "Weird!" I said. And here it was that low chuckle like sound again.
And so I went back home with that wolf, and my brother on its back.
When we reached home, I took my brother from the wolf's back, which it let me, I was almost afraid it won't.

"Goodbye Wolfie! Thank you for today."
The wolf's upper lip twitched showing it's long pointed teeth. It almost looked like a smile. Okay, I have officially gone mad, how can a wolf smile!
Giving me that smile(yes, I will call it a smile) it went off back in the woods.
