Caine's POV
Shit! Shit! Shit!
How the hell did this happen. She was right here with me. And all she does is mindlink me without saying another word.
Fuck. The hell could she be.
I burst into my office with my beta and five warriors waiting for me. They back away from me and I can justify their fear because right now.....all I can see is red.
"Alpha....what can we do for you?" Zane asks with his head slightly bowed.
I let out a shaky breath as I hit my desk in rage and it splits into two.
Remind me to ask the carpenter why he used weak wood later. Right now I have more important things to attend to.
I look up to meet his gaze and say just one word and all of them go and search for her.
Renna
As much as I want to stay and wait for her...I can't just sit and do nothing. I quickly maneuver through the hallways and follow her scent through the hallways but its just so mixed up.
"Renna" I shout hoping she would hear me and reply but I only get my echo as a reply.
I can't cry at this moment. It won't be the best way to show my courage if someone sees me. I walk back to the main entrance and almost all the guards are out looking for her.
I run into the woods hoping to catch her scent but none comes to my attention. I feel my chest clenching and unclenching.
Where are you my Renna? Where could you have disappeared to?
I can't hold back the tears any longer not because am weak but because she is my world.
If anything happens to her....everyone will cry even when not responsible.
My wolf kicks in and I know that everything is out of control now. I don't want to shift because if he is in control then the death toll will rise today.
So I just elongate my canines and nails. He growls and I clench my fists causing the claws to dig in.
Right now all I want to do is kill. Bad luck for whoever will cross my path right now because he will die.
I walk in between the trees looking for any animal ....anything alive be it a person.
Five minutes down the line and no scent catches my attention. Am about to turn around when I see a deer from the corner of my eye.
A smirk forms on my face. Wrong move deer seems like its your destiny to die by my hands. Its an honour to die by the hands of your Alpha.
Bye bye little fella. I slowly walk quietly towards him careful not to make him run away. When am right in front of him, he doesn't move.
I slowly scratch his neck and see a drop of blood starting to show. I smile and inhale the scent making my wolf growl. But right then, another scent wafts in my nose making me growl louder.
Mate. My Renna.
I don't even waste any more time when I follow the trail and I reach a dead end.
Shit! Dang it.
I look around and nothing is there. For fuck's sake why is this so hard.
I just want her to be here with me.
"Renna!" I shout hoping she will reply but no reply comes.
"Fuck" I shout as I turn to leave when I hear a barely even audible whimper.
I desperately look around and when I see her.,.tears move out of their own accord. There she is leaning against a tree covered in blood.
"Renna baby who did this" I say as I move to where she is.
I carefully pick her up and race back to the castle. Ignoring the calls from my beta and guards to help, I take her into my room and no sooner, the doctor arrives.
One look at her shows that he isn't thrilled with what he is seeing.
"Don't you ever dare look at her like she is going to die, hijo de puto" I say and he immediately changes his expression.
Moving beside her, he feels her pulse and inspects her wounds and quickly applies pressure to stop the bleeding.
Am going to make the fucker who has done this die a slow death.
"Am afraid she has lost too much blood Alpha, she needs a quick transfusion" the doctor says after minute s of examining her.
"Then do it. Am right here" I say as I take a seat beside the bed grabbing the IV for him to connect us.
"Alpha, she needs a lot of blood which we cannot tale from you at once. Please consider your decision"
"I hate to repeat myself Marco, do it" I say as I look at him sternly. He quickly connects the IV while stitching her wounds. I take away some of her pain but there is still some to make her groan.
He gives me a plastic small ball to press to help pump the blood and I start without hesitation.
An hour later and am still pumping when Zane comes in. He is looking at me and u can tell he wants to speak but is afraid to do so.
"Caine.....you can't do this to yourself. You will drain yourself" he says but am sure he knows that am not even taking in his words
I let out a sarcastic laugh and look at him.
"So I should stay here and watch her slowly die. Is that it. I can't even take away all her pain and you are telling me to stop"
"She will heal just give her some time. But you are killing yourself brother." He takes a seat beside me but I still ignore him.
"Just let me do this okay. Get out" I say as I lay my head on her thighs as the blood continues to flow.
I will drain myself if it means she gets to live just one more day. Fuck I will even kill myself if it assures me she will be safe.
But they don't understand that.
"Just leave"
"Caine please...." He says but I cut him off.
"Callate la mierda Zane. Just leave. No me haggas hacerte dano" I say as he looks at me and leaves. (Shut the fuck up Zane. Don't make me hurt you)
I don't even know when sleep takes over and my world becomes black. All I can feel is the stinging pain on my arm from the blood transfusion.
"Dearest Caine. I told you that you will lose in the end. We didn't have to go through the trouble you know" my uncle, Marcus, says as he seats beside Renna's bed.
"Don't you dare touch her."
"You still don't know how to talk to your elders Caine. I thing I will have to teach you the hard way" he says smirking as he grabs a pillows and covers Renna's face.
She can't fight because she is still unconscious. I can't even fucking move because the fucker has tied me up.
"No don't you dare. I will do anything. Please don't" I shout but he holds her still and then suddenly everything comes to a stop.
He comes and unties me and disappears even before I reach him.
"Renna no. Come back to me baby" I shout as I cradle her on my lap.
"Renna....Renna"
