This time am quick to wake up before Caine. And I leave him on the couch. I take some shorts from his wardrobe and a tank top and leave.
The guards are a bit hesitant to let me through but after some persuasion they do.
I run on a road that leads into the forest for about ten minutes but I soon get tired.
So I quickly shift into my white wolf. Its quite small and I keep on eating a lot to make it grow but it doesn't.
My paws hit the ground as I run between the trees.
I feel free as I run hoping that this moment lasts long enough but no.
Suddenly am pushed from my side by a black wolf and I hit a tree. I want to shout but the impact knocks all my air out.
It comes and stands over me and shifts back to its human form. Tears brim my eyes and I bite them back.
"I thought you learnt your lesson the first time little one"
Its the man who stabbed me. He will surely finish his job this time.
Caine.....he is here. Come fast please. He will kill me.
I mindlink him and this time am sure he has heard me because just then a grey wolf jumps pushing the man away from me.
And just like that he disappears into thin air. I shift back and try covering myself from his gaze.
I give the wolf a big hug and nuzzle its neck knowing it's Caine. He purrs softly at me and I gently run my fingers through his fur.
I cry silently and he just stays there rooted. When am done, he just bends his head down and I climb on his back as he runs back to the castle.
I am aware that am still naked but with the speed he is at am sure no one will catch a glimpse of me.
He drops me on the bed and shifts back immediately and I close my ears. I know its crazy but am sure he will shout at me that's why.
He growls loudly and I can feel the whole place trembling and I open my eyes in fear.
His eyes are completely black and if he wasn't my mate...am sure I would be dead meat by now.
"What the hell were you thinking going out alone. Is this some kinda game to you? Where you just leave and endanger yourself and I come searching for you."
He looks at me anger burning off from him. I want to apologize but with the way his body is shaking....I can't even go near him.
"You could have at least taken someone with you if not me. Maybe am not what you want but please don't endanger yourself again. Am done talking about this. Do what you want okay. If you want to die then do it." He says with tears in his eyes.
I can't help but feel guilty for hurting him. He turns to leave but I run and hug him from behind. I don't want to let go.
He stops moving and his whole body stills.
"Am sorry" I murmur on his back hoping that he would at least forgive me.
"Let me go, Renna" he says through gritted teeth and I know I pushed his limits today.
Who knew I would meet that fucker today. I can't believe am in this mess right now.
"Fine....hit me Caine. But don't leave. They all left me. Don't go" I can't believe I even said something like that.
Now he knows am messed up.
"I have lived knowing that I have to stay alive for my mate. I fight knowing that I have to protect you. But the I remember Renna...what good is that if you always put yourself in danger?"
"Am sorry" I mumble on his back as I take in his scent.
"Please don't do it again. I don't think I can take it anymore" he says as his shoulders relax.
I turn him around and his cheeks are stained with tears. I can't help the smile that builds on my face as I look at his affection for me.
"Now I look funny ....crazy bitch." He says as he comes back into the room.
Yeah...yeah. I heard that but this time I let it go. Just because I love him.
I expect him to go and freshen up but he goes on his desk and starts looking through paperwork. Really Caine....you have to be kidding me.
"You know am still here right..." I say as I move towards his chair.
"I can't deal with your craziness now. Please just leave"
"Mate....." I say seductively knowing that it will take him out of concentration.
I know he is fighting it so I won't make it any easier for him. So I take slow and deliberate steps towards him until I am directly behind him.
I can feel his heart beat quicken as I put my hands gently on his shoulders.
"What do you think you are doing little girl" he says holding his breath.
"Little girl....can a little girl do this..." I slowly suck in his earlobe and release it with a slow blow of air.
I trail my hands on his chest and stop at his torso...waiting for his reaction.
"What do you think you are doing....Renna. Am hanging on a louse line here so please leave"
I move my hand so its resting on his pride and squeeze gently.
"Too bad its a waste... I thought I was ...you know sexy enough. Don't I turn you on"
I say knowing that its the exact opposite.
"If I say no then would you leave" he says breathlessly.
I make a quick stand and run my hand through my hair.
"Well I guess I have to work more on my skills. I would do anything for you. Mate."
