Takes place 14 years after The Purge (5 BBY)
Y/N Darklighter is a force sensitive. The Purge began when she was 5, before she was called to train as a Jedi, so she never learned to hone her force abilities. Now they only manifest in her remarkable ability to sense things before they happen. She was born in the city of Chandrila, but after the Empire took over, her birth parents gave her to family friends who were escaping to Tatooine which, at that time, was out of the Empire's reach. She still lives on Tatooine, with her adoptive parents. As a 19-year-old girl, she works in Mos Espa, selling her family's homemade goods for ends meet and sneaks away to the pod racing track whenever she can to make a little extra cash. She's been saving since she was young and one day hopes to get off the most barren planet in the galaxy and explore far off planets, away from the Empire forever.
Tom Holland is, or was, a Jedi padawan. He was 9-years-old when his training academy was attacked by the clones who were there to protect them. He watched as all his classmates were slain along with their masters. He ran for his life through the sewage tunnels beneath the city and found refuge on a cargo ship headed to the scrap yard on a distant outer rim planet. He's been there ever since, keeping his true identity a secret as he works as a scrapper. The guilt of his cowardice has weighed down on his heart and he has taken an internal vow to never purposely use the force again, as he is not worthy of it because he didn't stand and fight the clones when they attacked.
They both are connected in the force, even on distant planets. They could feel a disturbance deep within themselves, although neither could pinpoint what it was. They will soon find out.
