When Quinn arrived home from work,  he was surprised to see a certain person in his living room with his husband. Never in a million years would he have thought Matilda Crosby would drop by to pay them a visit.

" Who the fuck am I seeing?!!, he exclaimed.

The petite woman flashed him a grin.
" What kept his royal highness "?, she teased.

Quinn dropped his bag and rushed her into a warm hug. " I missed your banters", he laughed.

Ryan chuckled from where he sat. He was simply dressed in basketball shorts and a T-shirt that revealed his baby bump. He was sixteen weeks gone. Twenty more weeks to go. So far,  his practitioner which surprisingly turned out to be Doctor Reynolds said his pregnancy was going smoothly. As long as he was sticking to the rules of being pregnant, he was fine.

Quinn's peck on his lips brought him back to the present. " How is my most favorite person doing? ", he winked,  grinning like a cheshire cat.

Ryan gasped when Quinn's head lowered and planted a kiss on his baby bump. His face flushed as he avoided Tilda's knowing look.

" And how about you,   little man. Did you miss daddy? ", the blond man spoke to his husband's stomach.

What makes Quinn think their baby was a boy was amusing. He didn't mind if it turned out to be a boy or a girl, as long as it's human. They had both agreed not to know the gender until birth and he would continue to let Quinn stick to his thought of it being a boy. Arguing would be pointless.

Ryan smacked his head and glared at him.
" Stop acting silly,  Quinn. You are embarrassing the shit out of me"

Quinn dramatically held his head with a pained look.

" You sure do have it bad,  Quinn. Sometimes I wonder if Ryan did a love spell on you", Matilda teased from where she sat.

If looks could kill,  She would have been dead by now.

Quinn sighed. " When did you get back? "

" Last night. Going back next week though".

" why didn't you bring Jessilyn. I'm missing that little pumpkin ", Ryan frowned.

" Her granny can't stay a day without her. My daughter is practically her oxygen".

" Don't blame the woman. It's understandable to act the way she does. After all,  Nick's her only son. If she doesn't dote on his child,  who will?", Quinn intervened for the elderly.

"He's right", Ryan enthused.

Tilda didn't argue. " I'm still surprised though.  How did you end up pregnant? "

Ryan blushed and Quinn glared at her.

" I thought you know how, seeing you had a child yourself ".

She snorted. " I wonder what Ryan sees in you".

" Probably what Nick sees in you ", he retorted without any ounce of malice in his voice.

She gagged. " you're unbelievable ".

" it doesn't matter how I got pregnant considering that I am a man with man bits for emphasis. What matters is that I am and the best I can do about it is welcome my child with open arms".

" Our child", Quinn added,  his eyes twinkling in admiration as he held his husband's gaze.

Tilda smiled genuinely. " I'm lucky to be part of this family. Count on me to spoil your kid rotten ".

Quinn chuckled. "as if I will let you".

" stay for dinner ", Ryan invited.

Tilda grinned. " I thought you would never ask".

Ryan was still seating at the edge of the bed when Quinn came out from the ensuit bathroom with a towel wrapped around his lean waist and another wiping away at his wet hair. He frowned when he noticed the smaller man wasn't in bed and had a distant look in his eyes.

" You okay?"

Ryan shifted his gaze to him.
" I spoke to my mom this afternoon "

Quinn waited for him to continue.

" She sounded thrilled about the news".

" That's a good thing, right? "

He sighed. " She went to visit my father and he asked to see me".

Quinn frowned and sat down beside him. He grabbed his hands and squeezed them tenderly.
" You don't have to go if you don't want to. Heck,  I don't want you to go. I don't want you stressed. Doctor says it's bad for the baby".

Ryan turned to him. " I don't know Quinn. He is my father. And I understand why he tried to kill me. But,  do I have to take it this far. It's been four years and I haven't even dropped by for a visit", his voice wavered and tears gathered in his eyes. Blame it on his hormones or his soft heart,  but he was suddenly feeling guilty. For what,  he didn't know.

Quinn took him into his arms and kissed the top of his head affectionately. " How about we wait for the baby to come?.  Then,  we will have a clear head to think about this"

Ryan nodded in his bare chest and Quinn pulled away to stare at him.

" What? ", he asked, confused why the younger man was looking at him funny.

" Pregnancy looks good on you. You look adorable right now"

Ryan glared at him and pushed him off the bed.

Quinn laughed as he fell on the floor. " Isn't it a bit early for mood swings, babe", he teased.

" Get up and get your ass in bed. I need something to cuddle into".

Quinn grinned. The thought of speaking to Ryan about an obssessed fling from his past came across his mind but he shoved it back. Now,  definitely was not the right time to address that issue. Maybe some other time.
