"I'm not going on a blind date." Ryan couldn't believe he was having this conversation with his sister.
He had no idea where this was coming from, he hadn't made any indication that he wanted a girlfriend — which of course he did — but he wasn't telling his sister that.
"I think she's perfect for you." His sister's singsong voice paired with a smirk made Ryan see a little red. "She's smart, funny, she's into racing —"
"How do you know her?" Ryan wracked his brain for anytime his sister had mentioned this friend, Autry. Not to mention, his sister's friends weren't really his type.
"Well..." Her voice trailed off. "I don't. Not really, anyway."
Ryan narrowed his eyes. "Then why am I going on a date with her?"
Letting out a huff, his sister crossed her arms. "Look, we've been Instagram mutuals for a long time and we occasionally talk. I just think you'd really like her."
"Occasionally talk? So did you just pop into her DMs and say 'do you want to go on a date with my brother?'" Ryan's lips twisted into a smirk, this was borderline ridiculous now.
When his sister's eyes dropped, he knew that was exactly what she had done. "And she agreed to it?" He choked back a laugh. "And you think that's a good idea?"
Once again, she glared at him but there was a smirk behind the glare. "I do. I already made a reservation for you and told her you'd be there. You can thank me later."
Ryan opened his mouth and shut it again — looks like he was going on a blind date after all.

Autry didn't know what she had been thinking when Erin Blaney popped into her inbox, suggesting that she go on a date with her brother.
Ryan Blaney.
The whole situation was puzzling — it never sounded like he needed his sister to find dates for him. He had women lining up for a chance at a night with him.
When she tried to question Erin, she shrugged Autry off — reassuring her that she and her brother would be a good match, she just knew it.
Whatever that means.
But she agreed anyways, thinking at the very least maybe she'd get laid. Supposedly, he was really good at that and Autry wouldn't mind putting that theory to the test.
Googling the restaurant that Erin had told her to meet Ryan at — her eyes bugged out a little. This was fancy, a little too fancy for her taste.
She thought that Ryan was laid back, that a French restaurant wasn't really his scene but maybe the laid back, drink a beer vibe she got from him was just a front.
Autry set off on finding something to wear — desperately hoping that this date wouldn't be a disaster.
