"Scrub those floors, wash those windows, remember to clean under the couches! Ren, stop playing dirty music - there's kids here!"

"Stop sulking and help us, Shiro!"

"Yeah, you gotta help, too!"

"I am helping, I'm finding my place in life!"

Suga and Daichi had seen quite a few strange things in their lives, most of it because of their volleyball team, but never had they seen children clean without an adult telling them to, much less twelve of them.

"Are we dreaming?" Suga asked, bewildered, barely avoiding being beheaded by Shiro and Ren carrying a ladder. The house was in total chaos.

There were two kids with identical hair and faces washing the windows using a homemade swing made of blankets tied together. Shiro and Ren were arguing, while Shiro was standing on the ladder and changing the light bulbs in the ceiling. Emica was dancing with two wet cloths under her feet, effectively washing the floor. Keito and another short, blonde boy with glasses were riding the vacuums like small go karts. And supervising them with a clipboard in hand was Yuma ordering them around.

"I can assure you you're not dreaming," Yuma told them, writing something down on the clipboard before turning to look at them. "Today is the yearly day the government sends someone to check up on the orphanage, so everyone is doing everything they can to make sure it keeps running."

"But I thought you didn't like the owner?" Daichi asked cautiously, unsure if their assumptions were wrong. He grew more confused when Yuma nodded in agreement.

"We definitely hate her, no doubt about it, but we love each other." Yuma explained, taking a step back before Keito zoomed past with his vacuum-cykle.

"Besides, no one knows what would happen to us should the orphanage close. You may not be aware of it but most of us actually have siblings here, and there would be a high chance of seperations should this place close."

"I see," Daichi mused, slightly distracted with two kids zooming around on vacuums. "I've never seen those types of vacuums before," he mentioned. They were round and looked like those new, expensive ones that moved on their own, however Keito and the other kid could obviously control them.

"That's because Ren built them," Yuma said, like it was no big deal. "He's quite smart with electronics and he also has a scholarship at a rich elite school. However, his scholarship is in music, which is why he's our DJ along with Shiro."

Suga and Daichi couldn't believe their ears. "Is this an orphanage for prodigies?" Yuma chuckled and shook his head slightly.

"Nah, quite the opposite actually." He sighed and ran a hand through his smooth, dark hair. A small, fond smile played at the corner of his lips giving him a softer vibe.

"Suga-san, can you please move?" Suga moved out of the way for the blue haired girl, and stared amused as she carried a sack almost as tall as her. He found their extravagant hair colors endearing, even though some of it probably is because of trauma (he had heard of people's hair turning white from stress).

"By the way, when does the person come?" Daichi asked before Yuma left. Yuma hummed as he went through the notes on the clipboard (not that there was a lot written on it, he just liked to feel like he was organized and had all the answers).

"They should come around 12 pm, so in about an hour," he informed them and left. The crows had no clue what to do as the children seemed to have everything under control, so they decided to sit in the kitchen, where they would have a perfect view over the chaos in the living room.

"They're definitely surprising," Daichi grinned.

"I would almost say that they're easier to keep in line than our team," Suga chuckled with Daichi joining in. Their team was a handful and they had a feeling it wouldn't be easier in the new school year, but they were prepared (they hoped). Two sets of footsteps drew their attention to the stairs. The two boys that were washing the windows waddled down the steps soaked, with wigs and beards of foam.

The boys didn't say anything as they went through the door beside the stairs leading to the hallway. The teenagers took in the sight before they laughed merrily.

"Hello, I'm Nikishita Aiko, I'll be the one checking to see if everything is in perfect condition." The woman introduced herself with a kind smile. Suga and Daichi greeted her and introduced themselves, then stood aside to let her in. She looked around and noticed immediately how clean there was, and also how silent it was. That worried her as she had rated her fair shares of orphanages and usually those with silence meant abuse.

"Aren't you two a little young to own an orphanage?" She asked with a fake sweet smile, eyes calculating their every move.

"We don't own the orphanage, we're voluntary workers from Karasuno Highschool," Suga explained with a genuine, sweet smile. Aiko blinked in surprise by the genuines of the smile, then pursed her lips.

"Where is the owner then?" She was already having a bad feeling about this, but it wasn't aimed towards the students in front of her. No, she felt a burning wrath at the owner she hadn't met, which is exactly why she didn't like them. Suga and Daichi shared a glance.

"I think it's better we have this conversation over a cup of coffee after you've met the kids," Daichi said and led the way to the living room. The kids were all standing in a straight line making Daichi panic and hurriedly motion for them to at least sit on the couch, but it was too late. Aiko was definitely not happy to see the kids so stiff. She slowly turned her head to glare at Daichi.

The kids noticed this with confusion but Shiro, Ren and Yuma realized how this looked like. They also realized how gravely they had miscalculated the situation. However, it was too late to do something as the woman stomped out of the room.

"You can expect to see me soon," Aiko hissed furiously at the two teenagers. She turned to the door but stopped when Keito ran in front of her and blocked the way.

"Don't leave, please!" He begged, which did not help the situation at all. Aiko gave the boy a sweet smile, then turned around and threw a wolf glare at the teenagers. Her blue eyes were burning with fury and she had an ugly sneer on her face.

"Is this how you treat children? I'll make sure this place closes down as soon as possible! And don't worry, I'll make sure the children are properly cared for!" She was shaking in anger, but was distracted when Keito grabbed her hand.

"Don't do it, please!" He pleaded with tearful eyes, his lips wavering for full effect. "I don't want to leave!"

"None of us do," Shiro pitched in behind Suga and Daichi, the other kids beside him. He glared at Aiko making her flinch, his delinquent aura setting her on edge. "The owner, Yanomata Mara, isn't a good person, but she left a few days ago when Suga-san and Daichi-san arrived, and things are already better."

"Yeah," Emica exclaimed. "They read us bedtime stories, they don't hit us, and they even make us food! We want to stay with them!"

Aiko was speechless. They admitted to abuse, even said the owner ditched them, but they still want to stay? Only because of those two? She gazed at Suga and Daichi with a newfound respect. She sighed tiredly, feeling a headache forming.

Aiko's heels clicked on the tiled floor as she walked through the reception. Her department leader sat in her seat on her computer, a smile blooming when her eyes landed on the blonde.

"So how did it go?" She asked her friend, feeling curious as her friend was new in the position, yet had already closed five orphanages with abuse they hadn't noticed before. Aiko sank tiredly into a chair, taking off her jacket and starting on writing her report on the orphanage.

"Nothing special, except for some damn manipulative kids."
