[ 3RD PERSONS VIEW。]
Hyosun watched as her daughters happily chattered with each other. Haruka playing the piano with Haruki clapping and humming along beside her.
It was a sight to see indeed.
Her heart warming up, she clasped her hands together, her head slightly tilted to the side. Letting herself drown in the music her daughter was playing, she closed her eyes.
Hajoon laced an arm around his wife, a smile so serene, resting his head on top of Hyosun's, "They look so happy."
"Indeed." Hyosun agreed shortly, her eyes still closed.
They were happy. Blooming peals of laughter and smiles here and there, but it wasn't just that. Her lips dropped into a frown, stomach twisting in discomfort as she thought of Haruka's current state.
Reopening her eyes, gaze cast on the youngest's different colored eye. No doubt, it was such a beautiful eye that radiated life – yet what she didn't know was it displayed death to Haruka.
Years passed, she grew more annoyed. Not seeming to find a solution to Haruka's achromatopsia. Clutching onto the glass of water, she stared far onto the kitchen counter, a train of thoughts circling her over and over again.
2010.
That was the year Choi Hyosun had enough of everything. Taking Haruka to the doctors for examinations repeatedly was beginning to get exhausting. The same exact words were stated whenever they came back.
Every day, locking herself in her room, calling herself a failure for not being able to do anything about Haruka's left eye color blindness. She felt horrible, as a mother, it was her job to assure Haruka, but she didn't know-how.
Curled up in her bed, she would hear Haruka playing the piano nonstop. She couldn't stop her, she didn't want to stop her.
Hyosun acknowledges this talent of Haruka. She knew it was the only thing that comforted and relieved Haruka with what she was dealing with. Not only that, but she also loved hearing Haruka play the piano until she grew sick of it.
