I handed over my quiz to our biology teacher and gathered my things. I stepped out and had barely taken two steps when some one called me. "Miss Winters,"
I turned to find the assistant of the dean coming my way.
"The dean has called you in his office. Please come with me."
The dean? I gave a polite smile and followed her towards the office.
"Don't worry, you're not in any trouble," she said, glancing at me. I smiled at her.
We reached the office and entered. The dean was basically the discipline incharge, and I being a member of the student council, used to come here often.
"Good morning, Mr. Johnson,"
"Ah, Miss Ellen. please, have a seat," I sat down on one of the cushioned chairs and looked at him, waiting for him to say why I was here. "I have chosen you for a task, Ellen," he spoke, "You must know of Mr. Alexander Collins?"
Of course I did. He was the bad boy of the school. He was said to be a silent bomb, tick him off and boom! I had heard he got into a lot of trouble recently, something about a reckless fight.
I nodded. "Yes, sir," "Well, he's been getting into quite a lot of trouble recently. And as the dean of this school, it is my duty to see that this stops. I need you to see what's troubling him and help him out before he does something he regrets."
I wasn't so sure about this. Alexander Collins came with a lot of trouble, and I really didn't want that trouble. I was already juggling a lot of things to keep my life straight. Fumbling with the strap of my bag pack, I spoke, "Uhm, Sir, with all due respect, I feel like I'm not the person fit for this task."
It was partially true, I was a shy and awkward person that wasn't much into mingling with new people. I couldn't possibly help out an equally quiet person with his problems. I did have a group of friends which may or may not be popular but that did not mean that I was out going.
"Ellen, you are fit for this. We need a patient person for this and that's what you are, patient and sweet. This can also get you you a nice remark from the dean," he slyly raised his eyebrows at me.
Was he seriously bribing me?! Although, a nice remark would do good for getting into the schools of my dreams...
But was I willing to get involved with the school's short-tempered bad boy for it? Maybe.
Oh, the things I do to fulfil my dreams!
I sighed,"Okay. I guess.."
I hope I can get out of this with a nice remark and the safety of my sanity and body.
A/N: Hello, Wattpadians! So, I finally gathered enough courage to write my first story. I'm still not very certain about this but, what's life when you don't take some chances, eh?
Constructive criticism is very welcome and please vote and comment to encourage me.Thank you for reading!
