(Keith POV)
Now that we knew it was Black that Zarkon was tracking, we needed to figure out how to get him to stop tracking us through it. We also had to think about where to get new scaltrite lenses for the teledove. We all sat in the bridge trying to think of what to do, well, everyone except me. Even though it was already like two weeks ago, I couldn't stop thinking about how Lance was with all those pretty mermaids. I don't understand why it bothers me, I just don't understand why I feel the way that I do. I guess Shiro had been calling me for a fair bit because when I came to, everyone was staring at me."Have you thought of anything Keith?" Allura asks me.
"Huh? Oh, um, no." I say.
"Really? You seemed to be really deep in thought, like you had something." Lance said. I turned to look at him, and instantly regretted it. God why did Shiro have to drill eye contact into my brain all those years ago. The moment I looked into his eyes, I was stuck just staring for what felt like an eternity. Fuck, those gorgeous eyes like whirlpools in the deep blue sea that suck me in and swear to never let me come back to the surface to breath.
Finally Lance spoke, "What? Is my pretty face just too much for you? Too much you just freeze up?"
I quickly turn back around, slouch and slide down in my chair a bit, and cross my arms. "H-hah! You wish!" My face felt unbelievably hot. I was red as a rose, and my pale face didn't help hide it. Then behind me I hear Lance get up and begin walking towards my seat, teasing me more. No please no, I didn't want him to see my face that was flushed beyond belief. Shiro noticed how uncomfortable I was, and came to my rescue like the awesome brother he is.
"Alright, guys that's enough. We need to focus; Black is my lion so I should be the one to figure that out, not any of you." Man, Shiro was really taking Zarkon tracking Black personally. He began speaking again. "Coran, do you know where we can find more lenses?" he asked.
Coran thought for a moment, "Hmm, I'm not even sure if they still make them; after all, it's been ten thousand years." he replied. "But I think I may know a place." He went to his control panel and began to pull up some images.
Allura spoke up, "Coran you're not suggesting we go to some filthy swap moon, are you? The last time you were in one of those places, you gave them almost everything you're worth."
"Oh boy, I remember. Your father was furious; but if there's a chance that anyone is going to have the teledove lenses, it'll be the main group of people that you find here, the kings of trade." Coran said. "The Unilu are master bargainers and are the reason your father was so cross with me. They got me to sell three-fourths of my ship to them amongst other things. So if anyone could have the lenses we need, it'll be them."
"What's a swap moon?" Hunk asked.
"From what Coran has told us, and what we can see from the pictures, I believe it's what we humans call 'The Black Market'." Pidge responded.
Shiro sighed, "As much as I don't like the idea of going to a galactic black market, if it's our best chance, and only shot, we'll go. Set a course for the nearest of these. . . swap moons."
"Aye aye, captain!" Coran said, in a very chipper tone. "Let's see. . . alright, we should arrive in about four vargas (hours)." I really didn't comprehend why Coran was so excited. For all we know, he might end up pawning Voltron off to these people.
Shiro clear his throat. "Well, since it's gonna take a while to get there, everyone go rest up, relax, but stay alert. We never know what might happen and it might happen. In the meantime, I'll figure out what to do with Black."
We all set off to do our own thing after that. I was gonna go to the training deck and do some sword practice, but then I hear Shiro jogging towards me saying, "Wait up Keith!" I turn to face him. "I was hoping we could talk real quick." he tells me.
