'Yan ang paulit-ulit na sanasabi ko sa utak ko pero iba ang sinasabi ng puso ko. I'm torn between doing what is right and doing what makes me happy.

But I chose the former.

I created a distance between us. We're both flatly lying on the wide foam. Nilagyan ko ng unan ang pagitan namin para may distansya talaga kaming dalawa. The foam is very soft. May magaang katahimikan ang bumabalot sa'ming dalawa ni Lydian.

"You want me to request for telescope?"

Umiling ako, "I want to watch it with my naked eyes."

"Did you prepare this?" Tanong ko habang nanatiling nakatutok sa langit. I still haven't seen a meteor yet. Di kaya fake news 'yong nabasa kong may meteor shower?

"Hmm... Not really. I just asked someone to prepare this while I was on my way to your house."

"So technically, you still prepared this."

He chuckled, "If that's what is sounds like. Then, yes, I prepared this."

"Why?" I asked in a low voice.

Naramdaman ko ang paglingon niya sa'kin.

"What do you mean?" He asked in a hoarse voice.

"Why are you doing this?"

Hindi siya sumagot kaya nilingon ko siya.

"This isn't your world, Lydian."

Ang kanyang mata'y puno ng kalituhan sa'king sinabi. Tipid akong ngumiti sakanya at muling ibinalik ang tingin sa langit.

"Your world revolves around money, women, bar, popularity and fanciness. While mine revolves around simplicity and silence. Entering in my world will just get you bored."

I can feel his stares at me. He lightly scoffed, "Contrary to what you believe, your world is endlessly fascinating that I won't mind being locked with it forever."

"Money, women, bar, popularity and fanciness. My life once revolved to that. I thought I already knew what happinnes means until you came and make me feel what it really looks like to be happy."

I introduced him to happiness? Is it even possible that a sad and broken girl like me can brought joy to someone else? Gusto kong tumawa ng pagak.

"How does happiness look like then?" Pabiro kong tanong. Hindi ko sineryoso ang kanyang sinabi. It's just sounded so impossible in my ears.

"Look at me first." Utos niya na sinunod ko naman.

Natutunaw ako sa klase na tingin na binibigay niya sa'kin. Nakakahipnotismo. His cold brown eyes is full of emotions. May unan na nakaharang sa pagitan namin ngunit pakiramdam ko nakayakap siya sa'kin sa pamamagitan ng kanyang mata.

"Happiness looks beautiful." He said as he deeply starred at me, "Her hair is silky with natural waves on the end. Everything about her features is soft. She got a heart shaped face, fine brows, long eyelashes..."

Sa bawat banggit niya ng my salita ay palakas na palakas ang tibok ng aking puso. Walang ka ngiti-ngiti ang kanyang labi, nanatiling seryoso ang kanyang mukha ngunit ang kanyang mata'y punong-puno ng emosyon.
