Chapter II

"See you later Jay, okay?" Will and I say at the same time while waving at Jay as he exited the car. He looks at us with wide eyes, "You know it's weird when you guys say the same thing at the same time, right?"

Will and I share a look before Will smirks, "It's a twin thing, you wouldn't understand."

Jay rolls his eyes and closes the door, heading to the entrance of his school.

"I love that kid," Will chuckles, "He's like a mini me."

We talk for a little bit on our way to school, discussing what clubs or sports we wanted to try out for. I wasn't athletic at all so I would be picking a club or maybe a job to make extra money for college. I didn't want to put everything on my grandparents or Dad. If I could do anything to relieve some financial pressure off of my family, a job it will have to be.

Will had stayed home last night and actually came to school today. He even showed me his completed homework. His journey to sobriety was off to a great start.

I pull the car into the nearest parking spot. Before Will gets out, I grab him by the arm. "Hey make sure you leave class on time. I have to pick up Jay because he wants to go visit-"

"Okay," Will interrupts me, the smile disappearing off of his face. We stare at each other for awhile. His facial expression completely blank to shut me out. It was like taboo when this subject was brought up. If I even attempted to talk to him, he would avoid it and shut down to prevent from an emotional reaction. He was hurting and used drugs to cover it up.

Will gets out the car and shuts the door a little harder then necessary. I sigh, getting out of the car. By the time I get my backpack out of the backseat, he was already at the entrance of school.  I really hope I didn't trigger him. And if I did, I prayed he would reach out to me.

"Well hello gorgeous," I hear a voice say from behind me as I'm walking. I shutter at the close proximity and turn around to see who it was. "Did you miss me as much I missed you?"

Xavier smirks when I roll my eyes. "I missed you as much I like being skinned alive," I scoff, resuming back to walking. I raise a brow when he walks beside me. He couldn't take a hint.

"You're so romantic. No wonder I moved to Sherman Oaks for you. You just say the right things to make me swoon," Xavier puts a dramatic hand to his heart, "You make me feel so beautifulll!"

A blush rises to my cheeks and I know Xavier could see it because he's now fulling on laughing. I could see the bizarre stares because why is the new guy laughing with a girl he just met yesterday as if they've been best friends forever?

I was wondering the same thing...

Once he stops laughing, he steps out in front of me, blocking me from walking. I groan, wondering why is he so adamant on talking to me. But I was taught to always be nice and respectful to others.

"You know it's crazy we didn't introduce ourselves to each other and word around the block is I moved here to be with you because you're pregnant with my twins," he is full on smirking now. My mouth dropped. How did people come up with these crazy rumors? "If you're wondering who spread that rumor, you can thank yours truly," Xavier says smugly and has the audacity to bow.

If that didn't make matters worse, Jaxon and Rosa approach us. "Hey C, I didn't know you were pregnant with triplets," Jaxon says, "Rosa and Leah want to plan the baby shower."
