I felt as if the urban side of wattpad was nothing but light skin this and red bone that and high yellow this. Following of course are the loud mouth ghetto dark skin girls. I feel as if our community should get over the idea that light is right or the only form of beauty. I wanted to write a story in which the roles are somewhat reversed on the protagonist being dark and the antagonist being light. Im writing to the extreme of what I hear black teens say around me. So yes the main character has that mentality that you'll read about. The sad part is I've heard people say these same things through elementary, middle and highschool. So don't say she's thinking unrealistically. If you don't like the idea don't read.
