Chapter 8

After the talk with Fernanda a lot of things started going through my mind about Alejandro my new husband as it seems and Jose Louis the love of my life. I got up from the dinning table and headed to the kitchen to drop off my mug, on getting there the aroma was so inviting it seems Fernanda is almost done cooking
"It smells delicious in here"
"I will be done preparing lunch in few minutes" she said
"Okay ma, do you need me to help with something "
"Oh no my dear don't get your pretty little hands dirty "
"Hahaha" I laughed out loud
"Did you just say pretty little hands "
"Yes I did" she replied smiling
"Don't belittle me fernanda, I make really delicious meals "
"So you can cook" she asked surprised
"Of course I can ma'am, I said smiling
You must have thought me to be a spoilt brat,who can't do anything other than sit beautifully like a princess painting her nails and reading magazines" right I said smiling
"Well my dear not really "
"Not really"
"Yes my dear, you know you are from the city and we here are in the range and most city girls don't do much"
"Wow Fernanda that's some assumptions you've got there"
She smiled
"And is that how most of the people here see me as "
"Well yes I guess"
"Oh Fernanda" I said surprised
"It's nothing serious though "
"It does sound serious to me though"
She moved to the pot stirred it while I moved closer to the sink washed my mug, rinsed it and kept it
"I thought you were going to drop the mug on the kitchen table  "she said
"Nanny Fernanda come on,  I said smiling "since I am here I can at least just wash it you know "
"Okay dear "she said smiling
"Yeah "I replied
"So fernanda i just wanted to say I appreciate the talk we had earlier, I and Alejandro didn't really get married in the proper way or will I say the way I have always imagined and dreamed about but either way I would take your advice and try to work things out with him although he seems to be a very stubborn man and he is also quite annoying" I said
"Oh my poor child, Alejandro is definitely not a stubborn man can be a little bit annoying i agree "she said smiling
"Thank goodness you agree" I replied smiling
She smiled" but he is my baby Boy and an angel, I don't know under what circumstances you both got married but I can tell just by the way he looks at you that he loves you maria and I assure you he is a very loveable  man you just need to open your heart a little and see what happens okay "
"Right nanny"
"You see Maria, I didn't get married the way I dreamt of getting married years back but it turned out that my late husband, God bless his soul "she said
"Amen "I replied
"Was the best thing that happened to me and the best life partner I could ever ask or pray for, you see maria not every thing happens as planned but something's you just have to open your heart a little bit and accept the situation you find yourself in and try to deal with it and see how everything works out.....alright "
"Alright"
She smiled and went to check the food again
"So nanny how long have you know Alejandro "
"Well since birth, I have known him since he got out of his mother's  womb and I have watched him grow up to the fine gentleman he is today"
"That's nice and does he have siblings"
She turned around  facing me looking  surprised and said "what a wife, that doesn't know if her husband has siblings or not "she smiled
"Nanny come on i said, we haven't spoken and we got married in a rush you know that "
"Alright, he doesn't have any siblings i know about although his father was a very promiscuous man"
"Okay, I really appreciate all you've told me nanny Fernanda I said smiling
"You are welcome my child"
