Louis manages to find some clothing that he reckons will fit Harry nicely amid some old trunks from one of their raids. there are leather pants, a leather waistcoat and a while frilly blouse and some clean under garments. He then takes a deep breath and makes his way down the corridors below the deck towards the cellar that Harry was held captive in.
Louis can see the prince behind the thick bars of metal as he approached the cellar, he looks discomfited, twisting his body uncomfortably struggling to sit up on the thin matress of the bed which looks unstable in itself. The prince is helplessly tugging at the metal restraining his wrists to the headboard ontop of him, his movements of his wrists producing a rather disturbing repeated clinking noise, his skin now appearing slightly bruised, a light shade of blue caused by the heavy cuffs locked around them.
Harry is wide awake, an avalanche of dark chocolate hair now a tangled mess of curls after the night, its pretty evident that the prince just happened to wake up, his lips chapped and dry from the lack of moisture.
His eyes were a soft washed out green, like a favourite sweater that's been washed too many times, Louis loved the soft fleck of pecan shell that littered his dark forest pupils, it used to be one of his favorite things about Harry, among countless others.
But now, the emerald in his eyes were dimmed, no notice of life present in his dark eyes.Thick layers of skin framing his eyeballs, creating the visuals of heavy bags under his eyes. The whites on his eyes rimmed red and dried moisture lining the prince's cheeks, trailing from the corners of his eyes to his chin.
Louis knows Harry had been crying all night, again , and feels more wretched than ever at the man's pitiful state infront of him.
''Did you speak to the Captain?'' Harry doesn't even wait for Louis to properly get through the door before pouncing on him with his words, a hint of hope in his raspy morning voice, as he notices the pirate at the cellar door.
Louis swallows the feeling arising at the bottom of his throat and looks away, not wanting to ruin the hope in the prince's eyes. Harry looks on, as Louis struggles to answer, avoiding contact of eye with the prisoner.
''Yes, I spoke to the Captain Harry but..''
''He still intends to sell me?'' Harry's voice is high pitched, interrupting Louis' uneasy silence as Louis just sighs, shifting his hand into his pockets, pulling out a pair of keys from inside them. He walks over to the prince on the bed, who seems to be sensing his predicament at the moment, eyebrows scrunched as he swallows, looking up at Louis, whose features are evidently pitiful as he observes the prince struggling to pull himself together below him
"Louis... " Harry's voice is small now, its more desperate and hopeless than anything more, barely audible, like a final plead for his future to his former partner, hoping to ignite the last bit of humanity left in the pirate.
Louis digs his nails into his thigh amd holds the inside of his cheek in between his teeth as he struggles to appear composed.
"Don't make me regret this" he mutters as he brings his hands up to Harry's wrists, pushing the key into the handcuffs that hold the royal's wrists together. He can't even bear to hesitate before freeing Harry's bruised wrists from the heavy metal wrapped around them.
But as soon as he spares the prince from his bounds, he is betrayed as Harry shoves Louis back, taking the pirate by surprise and jumps up from the bed and makes a run for the door. Louis' eyes widen as it takes him a couple of seconds to realize the situation as he is pushed aside ruggedly, so he actually falls to the floor,
