My mind has been in distress lately and work has become so tiring these past few days...

but I am not sure if it's just because of the amount of workloads or if it's just because of me?

Should I be resting?

No, there's too many deadlines.

Then, should I just escape everything?

I hope so...

Nah.

"Good morning Engineer Salvatore! Magkape po muna kayo." I shortly glanced at my secretary but I immediately shifted my eyes back towards the sight of busy people on the streets and the modern buildings outside my window.

I let out a heavy sigh, "So what's my schedule for today Ms. Givera?" I asked her while I grabbed the cup of iced americano that she served.

"Well you have two sites scheduled to visit this morning engineer and a pre-bidding event later in the afternoon." My secretary then gave me a worried look on her face.

I immediately rolled my eyes when I heard all of my tasks for today while sipping through my coffee.

I glanced at my wrist watch first.

It's already 8:34am.

"Thank you. Send me the full details. You may now leave."

"Okay po!" She then happily responded and left my office.

Nawa'y lahat masaya.

Agad ko naman ng inubos ang kape ko upang simulan na ulit ang aking araw ng mga paulit-ulit na mga gawain dito sa trabaho.

Civil Engineer nga ako at may firm kami pero hindi ko naman ito pangarap.

"Oh ba't badtrip ka ata ulit ngayon parechong engineer? Umagang-umaga ah." Pang-aasar namang sabi ni Eli habang nagmamaneho kami ngayon papunta sa site.

Eli's the architect for my projects this time.

"Umagang-umaga nga kaya just shut up and drive or you'll be dead." Pagbabanta ko pa sakanya.

I really hate morning site visits! It really cramps up my mood every time.

Kung pwede lang nga itong si Elio nalang ang ipadala ko ngayon kaso hindi pwede dahil ako nga ang Engineer ng mga projects ngayon.

Maybe I should really stop accepting projects this time.

"Kaya hindi ka nagkaka-boyfriend Sol eh!"

I immediately gave him a sharp look.

"Duh? So what? As if I care about it now Architect Mendrez." Diin ko namang sumbat.

"Ay oo nga pala 'di ka nga pala nbsb! Sorry-sorry." He just laughed at me and then he continued to focus on the road.

"Lagot ka lang talaga sa akin mamaya Elio! Pasalamat ka't nag-dadrive ka ngayon!" Bulyaw ko naman ngunit inilabas niya lang ang dila niya bilang pang-aasar kung kaya't inirapan ko nalang ulit siya.

Bwiset talaga!

Elio and I were both college bestfriends. We graduated from the same school here in the Philippines kung kaya't ganito nalang kami ka-close kung mag-usap. Hindi parin kami nagbabago kahit we're both professionals already and I like it that way.

Humalukipkip nalang ako dito sa passenger seat at pinanood ang mga nadadaanan namin na mga puno.

Mas umibabaw naman na ngayon ulit ang katahimikan kung kaya't nagpatugtug nalang ako ng mga kanta mula sa playlist ni Eli.
