Mine

It hurts, it's as if his pain and mine are one and it hurts. I can feel my chest caving in with every breath I take. Breath,breath, i try slowing my breathing but it's hard. Then suddenly i feel his hands on my face and i become calm. He looks at me with a smile filled of warmth. Good he's not crying anymore, "thank you". The sound of his voice is just magical. I can't help but just sit there and stare in his eyes. Soon the sound of chaos wakes me. "You gotta move it!"I hear from down stairs. ~What's going on?~, ~apparently a welcoming party~,~oh ok~. ~Oh and um your sweaty~, when dawn says this I notice it. There's a big sweat stang on my sheets. Dang ok I gotta get up, I get up and hop in the shower. "Ahh", the hot water on my skin reminds me of my dream. The feeling of the warmth in his smile was everything.

I decide to put on some shorts and my oversized bear hoodie. I slip my blue paci into my, hoodie pocket just incase. As I make my way downstairs I hear Josh and Kaddy.

Josh: "I'm worried about her"

Kaddy:" why?"

Josh: "you know why, what if her mate doesn't except her, I will..."

Kaddy: "if her mate is anything like you then she won't have to worry, pluse I will kick his ass of he hurts her"

As they talk I can hear a bit of sadness in kaddy's voice. I know it hurts her to hear Josh talk about me as if he likes me. Cause she likes him and wants to be his mate. Which of course he doesn't know. I walk down the rest and give her a huge. "Hey guy's ", we walk and get ready for the welcoming party. "So who's coming?" I ask kaddy as we set up the chairs. "A soon to be alpha from a neighboring pack", wow that's new. Usually we only have these type of parties when new pack members come. I'm kinda confused be notherless I keep working. After we're done I decide to go on a run. As I walk outside I'm met with squeals of excitement. Im guessing the neighboring pack is arriving. Notherless I keep walking until, I meet with a tree deep enough into the field and strip to shift. I start running letting the wind blow through my hair . Talking it all in letting the song who by jacquees play in my head. As the song plays I feel my body move to the beat . I can't help but howl out in joy at how at ease I am. I know I'm not gonna be able to regress let alone age dream today . So this should be fine pluse I need this. The more relaxed I get the faster I run, getting lost in the sound. Until I hear ~where are you? Your dad is starting to catch on~, in the mind link. ~Why I dont usually need to stay?~, ~I don't know just hurry up~

I quickly go to change back into my clothes and jog to the greeting hall. When I arrive Kaddy ushers me to a seat secretly. "What's going on?",I ask her through the noice in the hall.

Kaddy: "Apparently the alpha's "son" had to get changed, they should be coming in soon"

Layla : "Ok then why was my dad looking for me?"

Kaddy: " Like I said I don't know "

As kaddy says this the room goes quiet and everyone stands. They're here, I go and stand next to my mom. The door begins to open and I see him. I swear I'm losing my breath right now. I'm at a loss, this boy...no way...calm down ,breath. I avert my eyes trying to breath. I don't know why but the alpha's son looks like the boy in my dream. But that impossible right?, I didn't even see his face. ~Breath love , breath you gotta keep your cool, remember you an alpha~. ~Right I'm an alpha and pluse there's no way~, I look back up and greet them. After the main family greeting everyone becomes rowdy. Hugging, pushing and laughing. All eager to meet the neighboring alpha and his son. Especially because the alpha was single . I stuck close to my friends tho not really wanting to be here.

I was fine outside and now my head is full of questions, that I don't want the answer to. I lean up against the wall with josh who pets my, head and laughs at kaddy. He pinches her cheeks as she blushes cause he's close. I look over and see Ben flirting with one of the other packs bata's. Honestly I rather don't give two freaks but dang I don't wanna be here. I slip back outside after, letting my friends get distracted. I start jogging back to the running grounds. Going in deep enough that no one would even notice me. I decide not to go behind a tree since no one's here. I strip and shift running to the lack on the other side of me. Once I get there I slowly walk into the water . Letting the waves hit me as the sun welcomes my fur. Ahh, this feels so good. I stay there for a couple of minutes until, I notice someone watching me. I immediately put up my guard. I search around and see him. Evan, the Blood rose packs next alpha staring at me. ~What the....actual fuck~, I stand there for a minute to process everything.
