Travis
Beep! Beeeppp!!! The alarm rang loudly at my bedside table. "Holy shit!!" I said jumping out of bed. It was 6:30a.m. I had been cutting off the alarm unconsciously and I guess this was the fifth ring. I rushed into the bathroom, got my toothbrush and brushed my teeth. This was no time to bathe. I thought to myself as I hurriedly washed my face, put deodorant under my armpits and went into my room to dress. I grabbed a black sweat shirt and pants from my closet, put them on, then managed to find two different pairs of socks that was knocking round and about my room and put it on along with my white high top convertible. I'm not really into fashion but sneakers is my life and according to girls, I looked damn hot in whatever I wore. Ehh... Who can blame them? I'm that attractive and they just can't resist me just like I can't resist them. Not to sound cocky or anything but these are facts. Today was my first day of senior year at The Willington High School and I had one hour and thirty minutes to be there. Today was going to be orientation day and I hated being late when it's orientation day. Not that I enjoy being there but it's just that when everybody's seated and the principal or anybody else is on the stage and you open the door, the entire auditorium turns quiet and you're the center of attention until you're seated or until the principal finds a seat for you at a very uncomfortable position that might turn into early detention and a bad record if you refuse to sit at your assigned seat. That's what happened to me in 9th grade and I vowed never to repeat it again cuz I don't wanna have to go through that sort of embarrassing attention so it's either I don't go at all, or I just go right in time when it's about to start so that I'm not forced to sit at the front either. And I skipped two years of orientation so that makes it 10th and 11th grade years. This year is different cuz I'm a senior so I sorta see it as a necessity. Everything done, I took one last look at myself in the mirror, ran my hands through my thick curly mass of hair, grabbed my car keys and hurried downstairs. It was 6:45 when I checked my watch. My mom had prepared pancakes, my favorite breakfast and packaged it along with coffee. Best mom ever! I love her so much. She's the only love of my life and forever will be. I kissed her cheeks as we exchanged goodbyes as I rushed out to my car. It was a black and white 2020 model Corvette. The black was blended into the white at some point making it black white and grey. We had a garage but for some reason I preferred parking it on our driveway even though my dad was gone almost half the time for work and his space was always available to me. It was a gift from my dad for passing to the senior class. Best gift ever. It was my first car but it won't be the first time I'll be driving a car to school. Dad had allowed me drive few of his cars while he was away since 10th grade. I cherished my car to the extent of even personating her. I had decided that she was claustrophobic. A little crazy but that was all me when it came to this car. "Hey there my comfy sweet little girl, how you slept?" I said as I started the engine. It came on smoothly as always and as if she had answered me, I patted the wheel and said, "Good girl. Now let's get you on that road. I'd stop by to get you some breakfast but I'm running late and you're full." I continued talking to her as I drove to school a little over the speed limit, praying that I won't get a ticket from the police. You might think I'm weird which I am in a way but it's only revealed to those closer to me. Other than that, I'm the mister bad boy and the ladies killer at school.
