A/N: sorry I took so long to download Chapter 1, there was something wrong with my wifi. But that's alright, since I'm treating you to Chapter 2, too! Now, LEGGO!

Chapter 2

I blinked my heavy eyelids open. What was going on? Where am I? Why am I in so much pain? Than I remember. The demon. That stupid blue bastard. Will!

I suddenly jolted up, ignoring the pain in my core. A soothing hand brought me back down.

"Mom?" I croaked out, trying to see her through my blurry haze.

"I'm here, sweetie." She coaxed, patting my limp shoulder. "It's alright. You were so brave today!"

I manage a weak smile. "And Will?" I ask, worried.

"He's fineeeee," Mom replied. "Would you like to see him?"

I nod, and my Mom helps me out of the bed and onto crutches.

"Do I really need these?" I groan, trying to get comfortable. My flexible training suit, all covered in blood, was now discarded and I was wearing a billowing skirt, hiding a few wounds.

"You'll only have them for a week," my mom said, leading the way to Will's room.

I stumbled over and kneeled over Will's bed. He was sleeping fitfully, eyes closed. I stroked his messy hair once, twice.

Suddenly, he stirred. "Mmmmmhph..." He mumbled, meanlessly. I choked down laughter. A slight cough startled me. I had completely forgotten about my mom, who stood at the hinge of the door.

I followed her back into my bluish room, where she helped my get back down and arranged the blankets.

She cleared her throat again. "Sooo, what happened with the demon?" She asked, curious.

I winced, and began telling my tale. " I was running, when I heard will screaming. So I ran to him? There was this weird monster, a demon, and we defeated him."

"It was brave, what you did." Mom tells me softly, eyeing the splint on my arm.

"But if I was watching Will better, this wouldn't have happened." I mumble, fingering my gauze. "He was in danger! He could have died! I'm sorry..." I fight back tears, biting my tongue.

"It's fine, it's not your fault. Don't worry. It was amazing, what you did. " my mom soothes, smiling.

"Not really! Maybe if I was faster, I could have run in front of Will before the demon raked his claws. Or maybe if I were stronger, I could have deflected the blow on my leg and killed the demon!" I exclaimed, hyped up on negative adrenaline.

"You did great, sweetie. I bet your father will be very proud, once he gets home. In fact, we should----" a squeal of surprise, a frightening one, interrupted Mom.

Hastily, I got up onto my crutches and quickly hobbled over to Will's room. Cecily was frozen, her violet blue eyes watery. I pushed her over to see Will.

Was he okay? Was he hurt, What happened? What if the demon returned? Would it hurt Will? What if Will died? I shook my head. When I haul Cecily over, my jaw drops.

At first, I see a clump of a very unflattering colored blanket. Fearfully, I realize it was my brother. Or rather, what was left of my brother...

A/N: Uh oh, what do you think happened? 1+ likes and 1+ comments before I post again! :) did you like it? A bit short, sorry.
