You're standing by the stove, with Demi hugging you from behind, putting the finishing touch on dinner that you had decided to make for Demi's family when you hear the door open. She kisses your shoulder before loudly saying "were in the kitchen guys!" You couldn't help but laugh when you heard them walking down the hall way, her mom saying
"Demi what did you do? Order catering for this dinner?!"
Then a man say "I don't know but it smells like heaven whatever it is!"
And finally her sisters chimed in "Demi you know you can't cook!" "Yeah! You burnt the toaster last time!"
You looked at Demi as she rolled her eyes. "Y/N actually decided to cook for y'all instead of us going anywhere. Say thank you!" Then all of a sudden the introductions started. "Y/N, this is my crazy ass family! My mom, Dianna. My dad, Eddie. And my two annoying but perfect sisters Dallas and Maddie." Dallas and Maddie ran to hug you and ask you all about how you and Demi had met.
"Girls, go set the table, Y/N cooked for us the least we can do is set up." Dianna said while walking over to you and giving you a small smile and a hug. "We've heard so much about you Y/N. Thank you for taking care of our girl while she was in Nashville. I can't wait to get to know you better."
Your cheeks turned a bright red "It was the least I could." After dinner you and Demi are cuddled up in a huge recliner just watching tv and talking with Dallas and Maddie. Dianna and Eddie bring down a few boxes and you look over when you hear Eddie. "Y/N, wanna see the embarrassing moments of Demi?"
You laughed out loud. "Do I?! I've been waiting for this since my parents showed her the cowgirl baby picture of me!" They all laughed but you couldn't believe when you heard Dianna say "Oh my gosh but it was so cute!" Stunned you asked her "wait, you've seen it too?" Maddie replies before anyone, "Hate to break it to you Y/N but it's Demi's lock screen on her phone! Hahah" Demi looks at you with those eyes you're falling for and for a minute nothing else mattered. Until you looked at Eddie. "Okay, I need the most embarrassing baby picture and story you can find."
Later that night after you had spent time with the whole family you all were sitting out on the pool deck just talking. Demi relaxing into your shoulder and Dianna smiling at you two. "So Y/N, Demi had said y'all were trying long distance which is hard in itself. But how are you feeling about the fame aspect?" You felt Demi put her head down. You leaned over and kissed her head "Honestly I think I'm just lucky enough to able to call her mine. Since we've known each other I think we were both interested in getting to know the actual person. Her being who she is, is more important to me than her being Demi Lovato Superstar. Don't get me wrong it will definitely take getting used to, but she's worth it for sure" you say smiling. You feel Demi lean up to kiss your cheek and you thought you heard a camera shutter. Hmm.. weird. "Well D, I think I like your girl better than you" you laugh when you hear Dallas. Knowing that's impossible. Demi gives her megawatt smile "Shes pretty perfect isn't she. Oh hey, I think we're going out tomorrow if you and Maddie wanna come!" Demi asks them. Maddie immediately agreed. "I thought you said you were working tomorrow?" Dallas wondered. Demi laughed "Well, I'm just doing a radio interview tomorrow evening. I was thinking we could go to the mall? They're closing early for me." We all laughed. "Of course they are baby, you're just so special" you say as you squeeze her cheeks and give her a kiss. "I vote we head to bed, I've loved spending time with y'all it's been amazing! But I'm exhausted from that flight, and I had work before that. So if y'all don't mind I think I'm gonna drag this one to watch some forensic files before I pass out?" You tell everyone and instantly Maddie and Dallas hug you, followed by Dianna and even Eddie. You hear a round of good nights and I love you's and you couldn't help but think of how cute her family was. How much they were like your own. And how much it all just fit. Fit perfectly. You know, they say plans change. And yours had for sure, Demi had changed everything. And you couldn't have been happier. You didn't even realize you were setting on the bed until you felt lips on your cheek. "Y/N.. are you okay?" You heard Demi ask worriedly? You finally made eye contact with her. You cupped her cheeks, smiled your best smile at her, "I have never been better" you told her as you brushed your lips against hers. Softly as first. Then you moved your hand to tangle in her hair as she traced your lips asking for entrance which you happily granted. You pulled away "I've missed you so much." Demi looked at you lovingly "I've missed you more baby. Let's get some rest, you're tired and I need my cuddles."
