All Night Diner

Chapter 2 - Harry

She smelled so good. And god she was beautiful. She sat back on her bed. "So um what do you want to do" I asked. She laughed and went to the closet. She searched around a bit, and then emerged with a guitar. She set it on the bed, and then looked through her desk until she found a little black notebook. She handed it to me. "I usually don't let people look at this, but you seem like I could trust you." she said. I flipped through the pages. They were all songs. Tons and tons of beautiful songs. "I learned guitar from a computer repair man when our computer broke. I can't read music." she said looking down.

She picked up the guitar and started strumming, opening one of the pages with a song titled 'Everything Has Changed'. "You know," she said "this song is a duet." "I don't sing" I said. She rolled her blue eyes and started to sing the song while playing her guitar. I decided to join in.

I'd never really sang in front of people before, but it felt really good to open up. And besides, it was a really good song. When we were finished, she put her guitar down and sat back. "I've always loved songwriting but I never thought I'd make it big you know? I'm taking a poetry class and a creative writing class which really helps my songwriting. But i just can't convince myself to record anything" she said as she took off her coat. "Well," I said "you have a really good voice and all of your songs are amazing." she chuckled.

Later that night, she turned on the TV in front of her bed (both her and her roommate had one) and we watched FRIENDS. As we were watching, she began to scoot closer to me. God it was hypnotizing. I could hear my own heartbeat. Later, she put her head on my shoulder.

When her roommate, Rebecca I learned, came into the room, she had fallen asleep on my shoulder. "Looks like Taylor has a boyfriend eh? Hey Levi come look at this! Taylor has a boyfriend!" she yelled into the hallway. "No no" I said "we're just friends." "Friends don't cuddle like that." she said, taking a drag of a cigarette. Taylor woke up. "Hey Taylor" Rebecca said "I was just talking to your boyfriend." She looked over at me. "Actually no"  she said "we're just friends. And if you're going to smoke please go do it somewhere that's not going to get all of us in trouble." Rebecca sat down on her bed and extinguished her cigarette. Levi walked in.

Levi was tall, with short blonde hair and grey eyes. "Hey babe." he said, practically flinging himself onto his girlfriend. They began to make out. "God can't you go do that in Levi's dorm you're shaking the whole room." Taylor said getting up and turning off the TV. "My roommate David kicked us out." Levi said, continuing to undress Rebecca. "I can see why. Come on Harry lets go." Taylor said and she picked up her coat and phone and walked out. I decided to follow her.
