Chapter-3 The Figure

I thought about that a few seconds. Then heard a knock at my door. The knock made me to come back to reality.

"Honey, are you awake?"

Oh mother came.

"Ya, mom." With that I got off my bed and did my daily routine and went to school.

After entering the gate I saw everyone staring at me. That made me feel awkward. After a while, I saw Julia running towards me.

"Hey what happened?" I asked as Julia stopped in front of me.

"Well, do...you know....you are on Moments." Julia said catching her breath.

"What? Where?" Julia showed me the news.

It goes like this,"The Queen Bee was beaten up by the New Freshy. "

" You have became a star Mathilda." Julia said with excitement.I just smiled in confusion about what was that but I shrugged it off.

As we were about to leave the hall, I saw a figure as if it was watching us. But I didn't bother and went back to class.

Half day went. Soon it was time for P.E. I was excited to play football. As I was huge fan of football. For me football was my life.

"Yes, it's time for football." I said to myself and went to the field and met the coach.

"All of you stand in a line!"  The coach commanded.

All of us stood in a line. I noticed all of them were looking good players.
The coach came up to me and asked,"Are you Mathilda Walker?" I nodded.

"Well, your earlier coach was a good friend of mine. He told me that you play football well. There must be a reason why he recommended you to me." After hearing that I smiled.

"Well, that's why I am giving a responsibility." After hearing that I looked at the coach with big eyes and a big 'what' look on my face. "You are the captain now. Cuz I also want to see, what qualities you have, that James recommended you."

"Now start to warm up." The coach said. I was now also thinking what the coach said. But I realised that I was the captain and lead the way to run.

While we was running I saw the figure again. I was suspicious about it after seeing it for the second time. I thought was it following or something else. But then I shrugged as coach said to practice.

Soon it was time for lunch.

"Hey, are you hungry? I am feeling very hungry." Julia told me as I chuckled. We went to the cafeteria and took our plates and took a seat.

As we were eating someone came up to us and said,"Hi!" This made us to looked upwards.

There was a girl standing in front of us. She was quite innocent than others.

"My name is Yuki Fernandez." She smiled. We smiled too.

" May I have lunch with you?"

"Yes, of course you can." Julia said said with a big smile on her face.

While they were eating there was a awkward silence. But soon Julia broke the silence.

"Umm... guys." That made both me and Yuki to look at Julia.

"What do you think about going somewhere after school?" I gave her a 'what' look.

" Let's celebrate the friendship of ours. And let's welcome our new friend." Julia completed looking at Yuki.

We nodded. Then we started to talked about our likes and dislikes.
I told them that I have interest in sports and mystery thriller movies. 

 Julia likes cracking puzzles, and she also said that there is no puzzle in this world that she can't solve. Well, maybe. Because she wants to try every puzzle.

Yuki said she knows many languages. And had an interest in knowing ancient things.

After we finished our lunch Julia and Yuki said they were going to the class.

"Okay, guys. I have some work to do in the library." With that I left.

I reached the library and was surprised to see that there were only a few students.

"Ah! No one likes to read." I said to myself with a sigh.

I took some books from my course and took a seat to read them. It was like an hour but I didn't seem to know as I was deeply inside the book.

Suddenly I heard like  something has fallen. That distracted me and I looked upwards. But to my surprise their was nothing and no one.

"What no one is there? Wait........ what's the time?" With that I looked at my wrist watch and ten minutes were left for my next class.

I hurriedly kept all the books. While keeping all the books I saw something fell down. I picked it to see but again remembered that I had class. I put that paper inside my pocket and ran to the class.
