The base concepts for Third World have been on my mind for something like two years, but as three seperate and very different narratives. I made several attempts to flesh each of them out individually, but the more I thought about what I wanted to get across to readers, the more I began pulling and picking the trio into one meta-concept.
That being said, it's going to be a very ambitious project on my part, and by 'ambitious' I mean 'long.' I'm going to try to write a chapter a week, but if I feel like it needs more work it could be longer; keep your eyes open.
Athough I dislike the idea of changing things once I've published them, the fact is that readers are going to leave comments and critiques, and I want to address those things. There shouldn't be any humongous changes, so please bear with the once that I do indeed make.
There's a lot of cultural reference in this novel as far characters and their respective nationalities/cultures go, so while you might read one chapter involving traditions used in Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), you'll probably find yourself immersed in the festivities of Holi, a Hindu celebration of color, two chapters later. Stay on your toes.
Finally, I want to thank you for giving this a read. There are tons of great writers on this site, and I'm grateful that you decided to give my narrative a try. If you have any feedback, questions, concerns - or just want to comment on what you like - you know what to do.
