Nashi and Luke

Lucy's POV

I was tired and covered in sweat and other types of filth and also in so much pain, but none of that mattered. My beautiful babies were in my arms. My angles. My happiness.

Natsu sat with his arms gently laid around me. I couldn't stop smiling, but I could feel myself fading from exhaustion. My arms were tired from holding the babies, but hearing them makes small little noises and squirm in their tightly woven wraps was too adorable to stop watching. Natsu could sense my tiredness and took Luke to Lorraine that then came back for Nashi. I didn't know how much time had passed since I got to Lorraine's but I knew it had been a while.

Natsu came back with a small smile on his face. He sat next to me and hung is head low, I grabbed his hand in mine and laid my head on his shoulder. After a few minutes of silence, I felt water drop on my hand. I perk my head up to see tears falling from Natsu's face. I brush away his bangs and move his head towards me,

"Natsu. Please, tell me what's wrong." I smiled gently. Natsu closed his eyes and pushed his head into my hand that cupped his face. Through his tears, I could see him smile,

"We have kids, Luce." I nodded. Tears began to fall from my face as a smile painted my milky skin. Nasu wrapped his arms around me and laid me back on the bed as I let sleep take over.

Natsu's POV

I was so happy we had kids and that we were parents, but I knew Lucy needed to sleep. I couldn't sleep, no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't. My first instinct was to protect Luce and the twins. I looked over at Lucy who was wrapped in my arms and gently closed my eyes with a gentle smile on my face.

~3 hours later~

My eyes snapped open when I felt someone touching Lucy. My worry faded when I saw Lorraine. She looked at me worriedly,

"Sorry Lorraine." I smiled drowsily. She smiled gently back at me and quietly called for Lucy. She awoke after a couple of minutes. She looked completely out of it but continued to pull through. Lorraine came to ask whether she wanted the breastfeed or not,

"Hahaha! No, I'm bottle feeding! I'm not getting up every night. Natsu's in this too." Lorraine laughed as I sweatdropped. I now know I am in for a very rough ride. She brought out Luke and Nashi and as soon as Lucy saw the twins her face lit up like a kid in a candy store. She held out her arms for either one of them.

I got Nashi and she looked a lot like me. She has Lucy's fair skin and eyes but has my pink hair and facial features. Luke looks a lot like Lucy. He has her hair and eyes color but my tan skin. They're both so precious. Lucy got the hang of feeding them right away while I was struggling with holding Nashi while one arm. You would think that having muscles on my arms would give me more cushion room, but it's really hard when Nashi squirms all the time. Lucy was giggling as Luke happily drank from his bottle. Lorraine kept trying to help me but I always managed to mess it up. I was starting to become worried about my future as a father. Lucy later suggested that I become the master in diapering a baby, and I turned out to be pretty good at it. Lucy was good at it too but I guess that's because she's a mom so it comes naturally. We had to then learn how to burp them and put them to sleep which I let Lucy do because I love when she sings. Lucy doesn't do it often but when she does I fall more in love with her,

I told myself, dilly, dilly, I told me so." By the time she's finished the twins were out; I even found myself a little drowsy.

After two days with Lorraine, we headed home for the first time with our kids. In my head, it still sounds so surreal. I feel like just yesterday I would walk into the guild and see the blonde mage sitting at the bar talking with Mira. I would always think that being with her forever was a faraway dream, but here I am. I'm with her, by her side until the end of time.

Lucy had been spending a lot of her time in Water's Edge getting Nashi's and Luke's rooms set up. We gave them separate rooms because we knew that growing up in the same room would be hard for them. We thought it best if we start them out that way. I held Luke in my arms, he loved to play with my coat that had a lot of free-hanging pieces on it, as we walked into the house. Everything was quiet and a bit dark, but we could make out where we were going. I walked into Luke's bedroom and gently laid the drowsy baby in his crib. I never actually looked around his room, and getting a good look at it now, it was really nice. I poked my head into Nashi's room only because I was curious and her's looked really pretty as well. Lucy turned to me with a smile and we walked out of Nashi's room and gently closed the door behind us.

Lucy walked out towards the kitchen and I followed behind her. She quietly started to unpack the baby formula and put it in its own cabinet.

Lucy's POV

I was silently organizing some of the twin's things when I felt Natsu slowly wrap his arm around my waist. I stopped and turned my head to his. He gently laid his lips on mine and we both smiled in the kiss. I turned my body to be completely engulfed in his embrace and laid my head on his chest. I could hear his heartbeat.
