I had changed out of my clothes from last night and into dark skinny jeans, and a baggy violet teeshirt, before going into Michael's room. Where he was so rude. I ignored it, going about my day, with Calum.Afterwards, the two of us walked hand in hand to Calum's home, where he changed his attire. Which included a replica of the Green Day shirt I had taken from him, and replaced for his birthday in his size now. Along with a pair of black jeans with holes in the knees, and vans.
When he came back downstairs, his arm wrapped around my waist, and we continued our jaunt to the park. It was silent the whole way, but a comfortable silence. That was, until we passed by someone so familiar.
My right arm pressed lightly across Calum's stomach, while my fingers locked in a clinch on his shirt as we passed this someone. Calum simply held me close, not bothering to say anything, at least not until I calmed down enough to falter my hold.
"Iva, what was that?"
"Um, nothing. Just forget it... Please?" He simply nodded in response, looking ahead of us in the process.
The two of us ended up spending the whole day messing around at the park, wether it was racing around or swinging, we did it. It was rather enjoyable, maybe even more so, if I wasn't worried about the others that surrounded. Over all, though, being with Calum was wonderful.
After a long while, we departed from the park to return to our neighborhood. The whole footed travel, Calum would hold me a tad bit closer each time we passed someone. It was sweet, just how caring he could be. It makes me feel like scum for how I treated him, before. Just like what Obito says, those who break the rules are scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum. What's worse, though? The feeling alone is awful enough.
While I was lost in thought, I hadn't realized that I was staring up at his features. That was until, he began to speak, "Hey. You alright? You've been staring for a while, now."
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm fine, just thinking, is all."
"You think a lot, you know that?"
"I know," I mumbled, as our feet touched the front porch with light patters. Then, leaning my back against the door, across from Calum, I opened my mouth again, "Cal, can I ask you something?"
"I guess, what's up?"
"Well, it's just that..... When ever I overthink, Michael seems to be mad. I was just wondering if you, too-."
"I don't get mad, because you think. I like it. I think it's cute, when you get distracted. Especially when you stick your tongue out, because you're in deep thought. I think your intelligence is hot," he assure, in a seductive tone.
"Okay," I blushed, my sight directed down towards our shoes, until Calum's fingers pressed upward under my chin.
"I'm going to head home, before its gets dark," he mumbled, after pulling his lips off of mine.
"I'll miss you."
"Don't, I'll be back tomorrow. We have practice," he replied.
"Alright," I swallowed, not really wanting him to leave just yet.
He left one last peck to my lips, before turning and walking away. Without a single word being uttered, as he did so.
I was slightly offended, by his statement and lack of words. But, knowing me, it was my own insecurities getting to me. With that in my head, I turned the door knob entering the house.
When I did so, I called out Michael's name, so he would know I was back. There was no response, so I began to search around downstairs. Eventually ruling out the lower story.
