Ganito ang technique ko. May nagbibigay dito ng 'show, don't tell' pero tamad talaga ako magbasa nang ganoon kaya ang ginagawa ko ay bumibili ako ng books, may Wattpad naman pero ginaganahan kasi ako kapag physical book. So bumibili ako ng mga books ng favorite authors ko like jonaxx and heartlessnostalgia then babasahin ko 'yun tapos pag-aaralan ko techniques nila, kung paano nila ginagawa ang 'show, don't tell'. Ganoon ang ginawa ko.

I read action stories (mostly fantasy actions and english) kasi sa action stories, more on description, action and narration sila, so natututunan ko yung 'show, not tell' technique nila. Saka hindi lang ako puro describe, I have to put some opinions from the characters to add voices sa narrations (effective mostly for 1st POV). Saka I do metaphors and simile to compare the feels. That's how I do it mostly, pero depende pa rin ang narrations sa POV.

Hinahayaan ko muna isulat yung nasa isip ko. Kahit pa na parang kinekwento ko lang. After ko tapusin yung isang chapter, doon ko siya ir-revise. Pinapalitan ko yung mga pangungusap. Doon ko ina-apply yung 'show, don't tell' na technique. Ang hirap talaga. Pero sa tingin ko mas effective sa 'kin yung ganitong paga-apply. Inuulit-ulit ko yung basa at laging binabago yung mga paragraph hanggang sa tingin ko okay na. Kahit pa na nakakailang beses na 'ko sa proofread, gora lang. Kasi mas gusto ko makuha yung satisfaction ko as a writer at reader sa paggawa ng story. Hehe.

Try immersing yourself as the character inside the story. Briefly relaxing instead of thinking that you are writing, it would be better to imagine things and feel it as if you are part of the story. Do not focus on the words "Show don't tell", focus on how you'll see yourself inside a work.
