Amy POV
"Hello?" Casey's soft voice flowed into my ear.
"H-h-hi Casey. This is Amy."
"I know. I have caller ID."
"Oh yeah." I blushed at my mistake and I felt my cheeks burning. I heard Casey's laugh fill the my ears.
"So Amy, how was your first day at Oakdale?"
"Good. I met this really nice girl today and she even walked me to one of my classes," I say while twirling my hair through my fingers.
"Oh really? She sounds quite friendly. You'll have to introduce me to her one day."
I giggled and blushed. "It's you, silly!"
"You think I didn't know that? I'm just playing with you!"
"Oh of course I knew that." I tell her as I tried to play it off.
"Yeah sure you did."
I stayed silent and let Casey fill the silence.
"I had a great time at the coffee shop today."
Just the sound of that made my heart flutter and have butterflies in my stomach.
"I did also. Thank you for buying me my drink."
I hear the sound of Casey's laughter. "You must've thanked me for buying you that little drink for the 6th time today. Trust me Amy it was nothing."
"Okay."
There was an awkward silence for a moment then without my control, I started babbling.
"I'm sorry if I called you out of the blue, I didn't know what I was doing. I just picked up my phone and I started calling you. Sorry if I'm a bother, I just-"
Casey suddenly spoke up and broke my sudden rant. "Woah Amy chill. It's okay that you called me, I was going to call you later anyways. And you're not a bother and never will be. Just call me anytime you want to talk to me okay?"
Casey's reassuring words calmed me down and I was grateful to know how she felt.
"Thanks Casey."
"Anytime Amy. I have to do my homework now so I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Okay! Sounds good!"
"Good night Amy."
"Good night Casey."
With that, we both hung up and started to do our homework.
Casey POV
After I hung up the phone I laid back on my bed thinking about what she said. I know I'm pretty intimidating and I hope she doesn't get scared off by that. I could already tell she was since she was apologizing about the fact that she called me. Little does she know, when I saw her name on my phone my heart fluttered. It was probably too soon to be feeling this way so I'm not trying to rush anything. But I already know for sure she's gay, what she wore on the first day of school screamed gay and set my gaydar ringing like the bells at Christmas. Flannel, v neck, and vans. How gay can you get?! I would definitely love to get to know her more before I make a serious move or ask her out on a date.
I quickly hopped out of bed and got to work on my homework. After a few hours, all my homework was completed and the time read 10:45. I sighed and started getting ready for the next day. It was only the first day of school and it already took me 2 and a half hours for me to finish my homework and I didn't even have homework for every class.
I walked into my walk-in closet and looked around. "I need more clothes" I thought as I walked through my walk in closet. I walked all the way to the end and looked through my drawer of clothes I used for practice. I took out a blue Nike shirt, some basketball shorts, black Nike pros, a black Nike sports bra, and some socks. I look at the time and see that it was 11. I hop in the shower and take a quick shower before hopping into bed. I quickly fall into a restless sleep.
