The next day was Christmas Eve. Everyone was at the house and cooking dinner. Mycky was laughing with Luke and Rosie and avoiding Jack. Jack. He walked around with a hangover, trying to help. He finally walked to Mycky and said "we need to talk." She sighed and followed him outside. "Why are you avoiding me?" She glared at him. "You had no right to kiss me." He looked at her. "I love you, isn't that a good enough reason?" She started yelling "No, because I love you and you flirt with every creature in the universe, human or otherwise. I'm not taking the chance of heartbreak if I'm just another passing fancy." He was shocked. "It's been three months, you're not a fancy." An angry tear slipped down her face "I'm not taking any chances." She turned around and ran back inside. Jack yelled "Mycky!" and started after her. Everyone turned around as they darted through the house. She darted into the TARDIS and slammed the door. He darted in after her yelling "Just let me talk to her" to a confused Doctor and Rose who looked after them.

He was forced to dart through several rooms before he found her in her bedroom, crying and wrapped in a very familiar world war two bomber jacket. It was his. He climbed up on the bunk bed next to her. "Hey, I know you think that all you are is a passing fancy, another one of my one night stands, but I really do love you." She turned towards him. "After my dad defeated the master, he took your jacket, saying you wanted him to have it. It comforts me." Jack folded her into his arms. She turned away and jumped off the bed. "I really wish I could believe you, I really do." She walked out the door. Jack jumped down and tried to follow her, but couldn't. He finally walked out and slumped down on the couch. Rosie and Luke came over and said, "We'll try." They walked in and Rose took their sot. "She's been hurt before Jack, it will take time." As they talked, Rosie and Luke made their way through the TARDIS. They found her in the library, crying. They grabbed chairs and sat by her, waiting until her sobs had subsided. Rosie lifted her head up and pressed her hands on hers. "You can tell us anything Mycky, we have seen just about everything."
