Julian was sitting in his seat when Heather sat in Bryanna's seat in order to ask Julian a question.
"Hey Julian?"
"Y-yeah Heather?"
"Would you maybe want to grab something to eat after this stupid lockdown?"
Heather's blue eyes sparkled as she asked this question.
"Um, I'd love to."
Julian put worrying about Bryanna on the back burner as he had a long conversation with perfect Heather.
Bryanna didn't return to school for about three months.
Julian didn't call or text. Eventually, the only one in his head was Heather.
Bryanna was finally able to go back to school.
