I gotta get back to UA. I'm late, and I probably shouldn't have stopped at the bookstore on the way back. Its nothing too important, just my friend group hanging out in the common room but I always try to make a point to be there 5 minutes early. I know that alley! I can take a shortcut. I turn down the alley and tie my backpack to me so I won't have to worry about it falling off should I decide to run. I hear what sounds like someone having a panic attack and stop in my tracks. My friends can wait. I walk towards the sound slowly and see someone's back shaking violently as they cry. "Hey, my name's Iida. Are you okay?" I say softly and the person jumps, and I see a flash of spiked blond hair. Bakugo!? He can't stop crying and it looks like he's starting to struggle to breath. I kneel down and give him a little space. Just because he's a jerk doesn't mean I shouldn't help him. "Hey, try and focus on your breathing. I'm not going to let anyone hurt you, you're completely safe. Focus on your breathing. I'm gonna pick you up, okay?" I say and gently pick him up and put him in my lap carefully, checking for any injuries or bruises.

He grabs my shirt tightly and I notice there's a cut across his stomach and his shirt is tore to pieces. "Okay, Bakugo. It's okay, can you tell me your name for me?" I ask slowly as he shakes from his cries. "K-Katsuki Bak-kugo." He whimpers and my heart aches a little. He's always been such a strong and stubborn person and now he's so vulnerable and almost pitiful. "Thank you, you're doing so good. Just focus on your breathing and don't worry about anything else." I say and push the hair from his face. "Maybe you need to go to Recovery Girl." I say and Bakugo flinches. "No! Please don't." He yelps and presses his head into my chest. "Okay, okay. I'll take you through the back entrance to my dorm and get you patched up. I just meed you to have stable breathing before we can go." I say softly as his body is wracked with sobs. He just holds onto my shirt tightly and whimpers as I run my hand down his side lightly. "You'll be okay." I whisper and his breath catches but his body slowly stops shaking and he manages to regulate his breathing. He's still crying but now I don't have to worry about his breathing getting too far out of control. "Okay, you're doing so good. I'm going to carry you back, but no one will see and no one has to know so you can relax. Nod if you understand." I say softly and Bakugo nods against my chest. I hook my arms under his back and knees before picking him up and standing up. I walk quickly but am careful not to accidentally bounce him as I walk. By the time I take the back entrance and reach my dorms, I'm getting texts every few moments and he's stopped crying. I try to lay him down on the couch but he whimpers and holds my shirt tightly so I just sit down with him on my lap.

"I need you to let me get up so I can get some supplies for your injuries, Bakugo." I say and he shakes his head. I sigh but run one hand through his hair and use the other one to support his back so he doesn't have to use any strength to stay where he is. He seems so small now that he's in my arms. His body is more slender and built for endurance and speed rather than strength. I can barely see his blood covered and tear stained face from him tucking his head into my chest and grabbing my shirt. "Hey, hey, I'm right here. We can wait until you've calmed down to patch you up." I say and grab my phone then scroll through to see all the texts.

Midoryia: Iida? Are you okay?

Uraraka: You coming to hang out today?

Todoroki: Midoryia is worried about you

Sorry guys, I'm not coming today.

I toss my phone down and look down at Bakugo who's calmed down more. "Okay, just stay here." I say slowly and move him off my lap. He allows it this time and I quickly go get bandages, disinfectant, gauze, and a new shirt even though it'll be big on him. I rush back to him to find him gasping slightly at the pain and curled up on his back. "Okay, I'm gonna take your shirt off and take a look at that cut." I say and he raises up slightly to make it easier for me to take his shirt off. I clean the area then bandage him up and do the same for any of the other cuts. I check for any broken bones or cracked ribs then ask him to flip over. He struggles but obeys and I check for cuts. I'm happy that I don't find any. He may be smaller than I am, but he's still extremely fit. "Okay, I've got a shirt then you can rest. Is there anything else I can do for you?" I ask as he slowly sits up with a wince. "C-can you just sit down?" He asks quietly and I pull my shirt over his head then sit down. He pushes his arms through the sleeves then sits back against the couch. I slowly pull him to lean against me and he willingly cuddles into my side like he wants to cry again. I guess his walls are down and he just needs someone. I'll be here for him. He seems to be struggling to keep his eyes open and I run my hand through his hair softly. "Go to sleep, Bakugo. I'll be here when you wake up." I say gently and he allows his eyes to close. I keep him against me and lean back. I promised I'd be here when he woke up so I let myself fall asleep.

~Time Skip~

I wake up to him curled up at my side and yawn softly. I pull his shirt up to check the bandage to find it still clean. I pull it back down and pat his side softly, causing him to wake up. "Hey, there. Do you want some soup? Could help." I say and he nods. "Just give me a minute before walking." He mutters and I frown. "Never said you had to walk." I say and pick him up carefully before starting to walk to the kitchen. "Ugghhhh, why do you have to have rock hard abs? Its not very comfy." He groans and I chuckle. "Sorry, I guess. You could have my physique if you wanted you know." I point out with a slight smile. He puts in the hard work, he'd just have to change his routine a little. "'S not that easy, I gotta be aerodynamic for my quirk. Its harder to fly through the air and have good control when you look like you." Bakugo grumbles and I laugh. How did he find a way to insult me by having muscles?

I put him on the counter and he slouches over before wrapping his arms around his torso with a soft groan. I start cooking and have a quick soup in progress as he relaxes on the counter. "So what happened up to the point I found you all fucked up?" I ask and hear him sputter in shock. "Language!" He says and I turn to him and put a hand on my hip. "Excuse me, Katsuki Bakugo? You are one to talk." I reply and turn back to the stove. "Why aren't you acting like you have a stick up your ass?" He asks and I roll my eyes. "I'm not always Tenya Iida, Class Rep of 3A and model student at UA. I can relax." I huff and feel his eyes staring at my back. I finish up the soup and put his bowl of it beside him. "Let it cool." I say and flick the side of his leg teasingly. He flinches and his eyes widen in shock. I start to walk back to the stove but he grabs my arm and jerks me back to him. We're so close... "Excuse me? I'll beat your ass, Four Eyes." He snaps and I laugh. "You're not so intimidating once you've snuggled into my chest as I carried you to my kitchen." I say, calling his bluff. He blushes and looks away, distractedly releasing my arm.

I lean forward and kiss his cheek then walk back to the stove to start cleaning up. I can feel him staring at me nervously. "Calm down, it was just your cheek Bakugo." I comment and he huffs quietly. How cute. Wait, what? Nevermind, not important. I suddenly feel his arms wrap around me and his head tuck into my back. I'm a little surprised that he's comfortable being this close when he's calmed down but I'm not complaining. I put a hand on his arm gently and finish cleaning then just stand there for a moment. "You can call me Katsuki." He says and I smile. He nuzzles his head against my back softly and I feel my heart melt. "C'mon, you should rest." I say and turn around before picking him up. He huffs but leans his head against my chest. I take him to my room before laying him down on the bed and pulling the covers over him. "Go to sleep, Katsuki." I say softly and he nods.
