Part 2:Acception
"Jayla! hurry up, you're gonna be late!" my mom calls me down from the stairs. "I know you can't drive, so if you want a ride, you better hurry up! "Coming!" I say rushing down the steps; my mom smiles at me, but then frowns,"Is your... girlfriend coming?". I sigh and shake my head. It's been 3 weeks now that me and Amiyah broke up over the winter break, but I don't feel bad at all, she cheated on me with my friend, Xavier and ever since they've been datin even though she said she was gay. I don't even care because her lace fronts were tacky as hell and she was always startin shit anyway. "Well, she's in the past, so it's best to let go." my mom kisses me on the cheek before grabbing her bag and loading it into the car. "Hurry up! I need to get to the office". I hop into the car and we speed off.
Chapter 1: New year, new problems
We pull up to Moreson High School:
and my mom drops me off. "Bye, I love you. Also, you're staying with your dad tonight."."Alright, Love you" I gave a kiss to my mom before she drove off. I walk into school, and it's just like last year; boys giving me daps, girls either smiling at me or looking at me up and down, but the worst was when I saw Xavier and my ex-girl all up on each other. She sees me, but smirks and looks away, which makes me feel somewhat kind of mad, but before I could do anything, my friend Angelina pulls me over. "HI! I haven't seen you since last year!" she gives me a hug, and then runs off. " Gotta go! David needs help with the drama club," she yells one more time before dispersing. I sigh HER BOYFRIEND This kid named David (Also known as Dave) Pak who seems to attract so many girls because of his acting, but I know he has terrible anger issues, which is not a perfect match for Angelina but don't get wrong because I DO NOT like her at all. She is well known for being predominantly straight. "I don't think I 'd like a girl" she often says, "I think I just rather like guys" which is her choice. I don't have any control over it. I head to AP lit and start reading the book, "Romeo and Juliet" which people say is romantic, but in reality, they both die at the end over some wack "In love" typical junk. I sit there, reading it until I see a whole bunch of girls parade over me. "Romeo and Juliet? interesting. I thought you were only into lesbian books" she snickers and bothers me again, "What's wrong? I thought you were getting gayer every year" she laughs along with the group of parading girls (I know a couple of them because some are my ex's friends) and I'm not buying you still staying flirting with MR. Wilson to get that A, yet you still talking about how stupid other people are." I insulated," What's wrong? I thought you were getting more ignorant every year". I saw her face drop in embarrassment, looking around to see everyone else just reading the book and not bothering anyone. "I'm warning you, say something like that to me again and I wi-" she turns around to see Mr. Wilson glaring at her, with his arms crossed. "Young lady you need to go back to your seat right now." he demanded "or I'll call you father telling him how disrespectful you've been to other students"." Fine!" she shouted going back to her seat, the other girls scampering to follow her back to theirs.
I walk into the cafeteria and sit with my friends-Jeremiah, Devante, and Chris. We sit down and for some reason, my mind starts to play some eerie, soft tune that I've heard before. I look up to see Angelina, with her boyfriend and group of art club kids laughing and talking. She looks up at me and smiles, but her boyfriend just glares and blocks her view of me. I glared back at him but with an "I Just took a pic with your gurlfriend." kind of look that made him grab his girl's hand and walk off. ''Seems someone likes the forbidden fruit." Chris says while throwing his basketball around, "I could hook you up, you know that right?" .I look at him with a weird expression because I know all right, he hooked me up with my now ex-girlfriend and tried to get me with this girl named Iesha, who was one of the biggest liars I know. "I'm good, I don't e'in need nobody'' Devante grabs the ball and looks like he's about to pass to me, but yells "Look! it's Angelina!" which catches my attention, but when I turn around he throws the ball at me. I catch mid-air and throw it back to him. We all start laughing until we hear arguing outside on the platform. I look outside to Angelina, crying with a food tray spread on her lap, with Dave looking at her cross-eyed mad. "I told you not to tell anyone! you sensitive bi-'' I slapped him across his face, which sent him tumbling on the ground. "Ya, you wanna go?" he stands up and puts his fists up and starts taking his jacket off 'Fine! let's go-' ' I punch him again, but this time he grabs my arm and flips me over, which cracks my arm.''Owww..' I mumble trying to get up. Dave tries to kick me, but I flip around and kick his shin. "Shit!" he cries out and falls on the ground. I start to help Angelina up when we leave school, going to the Metro station.
.......................
"What was Dave mad at you for?" I asked in a soft tone, but I was curious. "Well I caught him cheating on me with Jenny Wei, the cheerleader and when I told my friends and they confronted him at lunch he threw my food on me and accused me of ruining his reputation" she sniffles and looks away, 'His parents know my parents so well so if I...break up with him my parents will punish me'. She walks faster and then we appear at her house, which was this apartment complex with a metro station about 10 minutes away:
"Thank you for walking me..' she smiles and I just hug her. Then I realized I'm not Chris Brown AND I can't seduce nobody, so I gently let go of her and walk to the park. "Bye.." she blushes and closes the door as I call my dad to pick me up and wince while holding my phone.
