Chapter 2:Behind closed doors
I had already called my parents to notify them that I was going home because my stomach hurt terribly. I trudged up the stairs and into my room and I pull out my phone to text my Boyfriend:
Angelina(Me): I'm breaking up with you. I don't care if you beat me again.
Dave: Excuse me? All of this is your fault. If you'd just stayed quiet,I wouldn't have thrown that food on you.
Angelina(me): And if you weren't so short of a man, I wouldn't be breaking up with you!
Call incoming...
I roll my eyes and ignore it:
Call Declined
Dave: pLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME...I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU...
Angelina:.....I'm sorry you just hurt me so much...
WARNING: THIS STORY IS RATED PG-14 AND HAS SOME FOUL WORDS IN IT THAT MAY BE SENSITIVE TO VIEWERS!! (YOU WERE WARNED)
Dave: If you leave...I won't live!
Angelina: You need to stop! I am tired of you saying this to get me with you, but you hurt me again! I am through with you and your mistakes, so don't text me again!
I collapse onto my bed and rub the parts on my arm where there were welts and scratches from when Dave used to hit me and grab me. I want to tell my parents, but they would just ignore me and force me to cover it up and blame it on me, being what they call "A shameful sinner". My father is the duke of our church and my mother is a social worker who has a weekend church group study that constantly comes over. because of this, I know my feelings for Jayla are only platonic because I am told numerous times that being gay is a sin, but I believe it's just a way you feel....a way I feel? I think about it and then I get a notification on my computer about the list my parents signed me up on the AP Lit trip to Europe to give me a scholarship in AP Lit and languages. I remember Jayla saying she was going on the trip, so I confirmed the email and got ready to practice my cello. I started to play, thinking about the time measures, but it was so hard to focus because I kept thinking about her. Just then, my friend Maya calls, asking if we wanted to go to the store together (since she went alone) so I decided to join her. It could probably take Jayla off my mind.....right?
