Life can hit hard, and sometimes it just punches you square in the nose with princess cut diamonds on its knuckles (because according to my mom, princess cuts are sharp and quite painful; just go with it). Sure there have been lulls, but of course those times are never when I feel like or even think about writing. I have had some ideas lately, but just haven't made time to sit down and develop them. I've been bad about taking time to earn the right to be considered a writer, even as president of my school's creative writing club. I'll try to do better, but I'm done making promises that can be so easily broken. I might never finish A Year at Namsan, but from now on I won't announce a story until I have something to post for it. Or at least I'll try to remember that I said that and keep it in mind the next time I start typing it up.
