𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐄𝐍 screw you lucas!
AFTER EXPLAINING everything to eleven, and dustin figuring out that their compasses would lead them to the gate, the group was on their way to find the gate. makenzie walked in between mike and eleven, who all walked slightly behind lucas, and dustin.
"we will probably be there soon. just hold on a little longer okay?" makenzie sighed, and eleven nodded. makenzie could tell something was wrong with eleven, maybe it was that she was just tired, or scared of going to the gate. either way, she just brushed it off and kept walking.
after following dustin and walking for a while, he finally stopped in the middle of the junkyard, and mumbled "oh no."
"oh no? what's oh no?" lucas asked sounding like he was going to get a little mad.
"we're headed back home." dustin said making makenzie sigh.
"what? are you sure?" lucas said.
"yes i'm sure. setting sun, right there. we looped right back around." dustin said pointing to the sun behind them.
"and you're just realizing this now?" lucas said annoyed.
"why is this all on me?" dustin threw his arms up in defence.
"because you're the compass genius!" lucas raised his voice.
"what do all of yours say?" dustin asked
"north" mike, lucas, and makenzie all day in unison.
"makes no damn sense. i think something is screwing with the compasses." dustin sighed.
"maybe it's something here." makenzie said looking around at all the old trucks and scraps of metal.
"no, it has to be like a super magnet." dustin said.
"it's not a magnet. she's been acting weirder than normal. she's probably the one screwing up the compasses!" lucas said pointing at eleven.
