Ok i know tons of you have seen this oneshot but like THIS DESERVES ATTENTION MUCH MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE

I AM SO PROUD OF THIS YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND

A few things before we start
1. This is set in old Japan.
2. It seems like Demon Slayer, but I swear I noticed after I thought of the plot.

3. I know Asahi is going to be pretty OOC here but just go with it. It's for the plot. I can't have a character freaking out I have no time for it.

4. I will only be involving 5 teams.
5. I do not know if everything mentioned here fits at the same time, just go with the flow. It doesn't affect the plot in any way, I just want to create an effect.
6. Don't get me wrong I stan the antagonist team but like we need a villain you know

Glossary (Come back up when you need it, I don't want it spoiled)
1. Atuhitogui ---- My own made-up cannibal demon that can shape-shift, strongest in their giant eagle form and eats the most people in Hyakki Yako

2. Nekomata ----- They are cats that either live in the wild or a domestic one that turned into a yokai. Not to be confused with Bakeneko

3. Bakeneko ----- Shape-shifting cats

4. Chikap Kamui------- Owl deity. I'm not sure if they come to life but for the sake of the story, they do.

5. Byakko -------- White Tigers

6. Chochinbake------ Possessed lanterns

7. Enenra-------- A spirit made from smoke
8. Ho-o------ Japanese Phoenix

9. Jorogumo----- Spider-woman. If you watched KNY, basically female Rui.

10. Kanedama-----Spirit who carries money

11. Yamabiko------Mountain Spirits/Gods, I'm doing spirits for this one

12. Obake------ Shape-shifting ghosts

13.Satori (Yes the demon's name is Satori deal with it)-------- A demon that can guess the thoughts of a human (Basically Tendou's guess block but magical I believe his name origins from this) I have added some powers to the Satori

14.Mizu Yokan----Red bean jelly

15.Wagashi-------- Candy, but less sweet than western ones

16. Mochi---------- Plain ones taste like gummy candies and marshmallow combined, so people usually try and add some extra condiments

17.Karasu-Tenshi ------- My own made-up angel with wings like a crow's

18.Fujin----------Wind God

19.Kyokotsu--------Skeletons that burst out from ground and walls

20.Amabie--------- Healing spirits

Sakura petals flew around, brushing past Hinata's hair as he walked through the moon-lit streets in this warm summer night. His friend, Kageyama, followed along, his basket swinging around his shoulders. Their clothes brushed against the dry floor of the forest, quietly strolling back home. "What a peaceful night, huh?" smiled the orange-haired boy. "I guess... but I feel like something is about to happen to us tonight." "Baka, don't curse it!" Hinata spat. Just when Hinata finished his sentence, his guardian, Sugawara, ran over to the two. Their parents had been murdered by some blood-thirsty demons who were on the hunt for food. Sugawara had taken care of them along with Daichi ever since, "Hinata! Kageyama! Get inside quick, we need to hide! Daichi, Asahi, and Kiyoko are scared!" Hinata tilted his head, "Why the rush?"
