Eva found herself on the astronomy tower yet again, in need of a break. Really, she was always in need of a break.

She leaned back against the roof and gazed up at the sky. The moon was almost full, and the stars seemed to shine a bit brighter. The night sky had always seemed so beautiful to the girl. Sure, during the day, the sun and light could be nice, but not anything compared to the late hours. Eva found the darkness comforting, and almost safe.

Although it seemed Eva wasn't the only one who decided to venture to the astronomy tower that night.

"So we meet again."

Eva quickly sat up and turned to see the younger Black brother. She couldn't help but think the brothers looked so much alike.

"So we do."

Regulus sat down a ways away from her.

"Do you come up here often?" she asked the boy.

"Every once in a while," he told her. "You?"

"More often than I'd like to admit," she shrugged, before fixing her gaze back to the night sky. It never failed to impress her.

The two teenagers sat quietly, their minds far apart from their bodies.

Regulus was curious about the girl. He knew she was observant, similar to him. Although he was only observant because he never spoke much. One wrong word and a letter would be sent from his parents. That's not a good thing. She could be shy and quiet most of the time, but every so often she spoke up. She wasn't loud and didn't make a show of herself very often, unlike her popular brother. Regulus thought of himself the same that way. Sirius, just like James, wasn't afraid to speak his mind, even to his parents. He wouldn't forget the night Sirius put up a picture of a muggle girl in a bikini on the wall. The beatings Sirius got were horrible that night. He was everything but disowned and Regulus couldn't help but be worried. Not just for his brother, but for himself. If Sirius got disowned or left, Regulus would be left alone.

Eva was curious about the boy. Being observant lead her to knowing many things; some she wishes she knew less about. One day she had overheard James and Sirius talking about his family. She didn't listen in much, for she felt it was a bit private, but she caught a few words. It was no doubt Sirius was a rebel, and it leads to trouble at home. Although she didn't know how bad it was. For Sirius, and for Regulus. Surely Regulus couldn't have it as bad, right? He seemed like golden-child material. Either way, she didn't dare bring any of that up.

"Why do we have to be treated like this?" the boy sighed. He didn't need to further explain, Eva already knew what he was talking about.

"You know... James only knows extremes. Sirius too." Regulus nodded as she continued. "He doesn't get mad and then get over it. He either loves people a lot, like his friends, or hates them, like Severus."
