“Y/n? That’s a beautiful name! I’m Elizabeth.” The silverette spoke softly. “I know. I could tell by your earring. Don’t worry, I won’t tell.” I put my finger over my lips and winked.

After Elizabeth fangirled over Hawk we went downstairs to the tavern. “Mel you are not going to give her your shitty cooking,” I say stepping into the kitchen of the bar. “Yeah yeah ok.” The blonde responded. “Here ya go,” I say giving Elizabeth a small plate with some veggies and a small meat pie. “Enjoy!”

Elizabeth took a bite of it and started tearing up again. “Hey, are you ok? Why are you crying?” I ask, going over the other side of the bar. “It’s just, you’re being so nice to me. You made sure I was ok after I passed out, and now you’re feeding me. How could I ever repay your kindness?” She was now crying and looking down. I rubbed her back and gave her a sympathetic smile.

Just then a loud banging was heard at the bar. “OPEN UP! WE KNOW YOU HAVE THE WANDERING RUST KNIGHT IN THERE!” The sound of a man’s voice was heard aswell after the fit of knocking. “Oops. Looks like we’ve been found out.” I say looking to the door as Elizabeth and Hawk panic. “Don’t worry. I have a plan.” Mel said with a half-smile.

“HEY C’MON! OPEN UP AND BRING THE RUST KNIGHT!”

The door opened to reveal Hawk with some of the rusty armor on him. The boot of it, being on his head. “Who is calling for me? I’m sir Hawk! The rusty knight!” He said, waddling out.

“So this pig is one of the seven deadly sins?” A man with an odd nose questioned. “Of course it’s not!” The man who was banging on the door minutes before exclaimed. The debacle went on for a few minutes while me and Elizabeth escaped out of the back.

“Look! Two girls ran out the back!” another knight said. “Uh oh. Run!” I said to Elizabeth as we ran into the forest behind the tavern. They ran after us shouting and unsheathing their swords.

I jumped into the trees so I could get a better distance. I struggled to pull my hood over my head as I ran.

I heard more yelling in the background as a rumble went throughout the ground beneath me. The shrill voice of Hawk filled my ears as I neared the edge of the cliff. I quickly grabbed Elizabeth and handed her to Meliodas so I could stop myself before I went off the cliff.

As I approached the tree the two were perched on, I could see Meliodas groping the poor girl again. “Seriously Elizabeth, feel free to haul off and punch him,” I say as Hawk nods along.

“So why are you looking for the seven deadly sins anyway?” Mel asked. “I wanna ask them to help me stop the holy knights…” Elizabeth spoke, looking into the distance off the cliff. “Are you serious? Why in the world would you wanna do that?” Hawk asked looking up at the silverette.

“Holy knights are the king’s men. They’re the knights who protect Leoness! Real heroes!” He continued.

“But, what if they were in a plot to start a war in our country?” Elizabeth said with sad eyes. “The other day, except for the king himself, the entire royal family was arrested and is being held by the holy knights.”

So that must be the reason she dressed up in that armour…

“So the king isn’t really sick in bed?” I asked with a raised brow. “That’s just a cover story the holy knights are using. I don’t know what they think they can accomplish by driving the nation t war.” I could feel how sad and frustrated she was. She seemed so disappointed in the knights of the realm.
