{PURPLE SPELLBOOK}

Yeonjun was randomly picking out books to read to pass time.
As his fingers skimmed the line of books, he stopped right in front of a purple book. His curiosity got the better of him and he pulled it out.
The book was gleaming in the sunlight that managed to enter through the closed curtains. It had a purple cover and loose paper that teased to fall out the closed lips of the book.
Yeonjun opened the book and tried to read the language.
He was well educated in the English language but what he was reading wasn’t English at all. It looked like it but had different pronunciations and words that made no sense.
French?, he wondered.
He stopped in a single page that had a wrinkled leaf as a bookmark. It was the only page with the English words.
“May this spell grant me ability to understand the words of this spell book” he read out in English.
He frowned in confusion and proceeded to flip through the loose pages. He noticed the letters were suddenly starting to make sense.
“Huh? What’s the meaning of this?” he asked himself and continued turning pages.
“How am I suddenly understanding this? Is this really a spell book?” Yeonjun wondered aloud and decided to take it home for further study.

As he reached home, he couldn’t be bothered with the ‘spell-book’ he borrowed from the city library. He was going to be busy with making a chocolate treat for his crush as the next day was valentine’s day.
He hurriedly rushed to his room to change and put his book-bag in its designated place.
As he placed his bag on a high chair, the borrowed book managed to slip out of the unzipped portion of the bag and scrambled itself on the floor.
Papers spilled here and there and Yeonjun cursed silently as he picked them up.
His hand stopped once he noticed a lone leaf of paper lying near his closet. He got up and made his way towards it. He bent down and picked it up, reading its content.
