Taehyun didn’t understand what was going on.

Soobin and Yeonjun got together and it was the talk of the school.

Taehyun expected it of course, but it seemed there was no side effect.

Was Soobin lying about his feelings?, he wondered and looked down at his spell book, re-reading his spell and trying to figure out what was wrong or missing.

“Tsk. I shouldn't have made this spell so easy” he whispered furiously and felt someone approaching him. He looked up and saw Heuningkai.

“Hey, Tae!” Kai greeted and slid on the seat next to him, placing his lunchbox on the dusty table.

“Why do you like to eat here? No one cleans the seats and table—” but Kai’s rant was interrupted.

“I'm in trouble” Taehyun plainly said.

“huh?”

“A human got my spell book and used one”

“How’s that possible? Didn’t you write it in another language?” Kai inquired as he bit into his ham sandwich.

“Yeah… but I also had an understanding spell on it… meaning—”

“Oh, snap!”

“Right… and what’s worse, the person used the only spell that I enabled for humans as well… the love spell”

“Oh, snapcrackers!”

“And guess who he is?”

“…”

“Yeonjun”

Kai gasped and choked on his bread. Taehyun gave him his orange juice.

“But hyung is so popular, everyone or anyone would say yes to him” Kai says once he survives.

“Yeah”

“Who’d he use it on?”

“Soobin”

Another gasp.

“Soobin-hyung!? But he already likes him! Oh, no, what are the side effects?”

Taehyun plainly shrugged.

“I put random side effects so I have no clue… and so far, nothing’s happening”

Kai was having a bad feeling about the whole ordeal.

“Tae… we need to watch over them!”

Taehyun groaned.

“Fine!”

Yeonjun blushed at the fact that he finally had Soobin for himself.
The dark-haired male was sitting across him, sipping on a milkshake and looking attractive for no reason.

This is so awkward! I've never dated anyone before! What am I supposed to do?, Yeonjun panicked.

“Yeonjun”

“Y-yes?”

Soobin smiled lightly at him.

“What’s wrong with you these days? Usually you’re flirting shamelessly with me but the past two days you’ve been so silent and… blushy”

Yeonjun fidgeted.

“I… I'm just… shy”

“You? Shy? I didn’t know that was possible… well! If you’re going to be like this then maybe I should change too”

“huh?”

Soobin smirked.

“You look really pretty today”

Yeonjun couldn’t help the blush that creeped up his cheeks.

“Soobin”

“Hm?”

“Do you… feel weird?”

“What do you mean?”

“Like… you’re not… doing what you really want?” Yeonjun wanted to stop himself.

What was he doing!? Did he want Soobin to snap out the spell?

Soobin smiled innocently,
“I don’t know what you’re talking about”

Soobin groaned as he put his palm on his stomach.

“Ugh. Why does it hurt so much?” he complained as he staggered into his empty home.

He went to his room.

Once he reached, he threw his book-bag to the floor and slipped into his bed.

He groaned as he felt his stomach twist in a painful way.

“Wh-what did I eat?” he wondered aloud and began thrashing around his bed, his shirt sticking to his skin due to the sweat that was leaving his body.

He moved so hard that he fell off his bed, clutching his stomach. He cried out painfully.

All the while, a figure stood outside his window, watching him with wide eyes and a frown.

Yeonjun giggled excitedly as he flipped through a particular album in his phone that held a collection of pictures of Soobin, both candid and intentional.

“Mine, you’re finally mine… if this is a dream I never want to wake up!” Yeonjun hugged his phone.

“I'm so happy”

Taehyun entered the house and closed the door behind him.
Heuningkai greeted him.

“Hey Tae! How is Soobin?” Kai asked.

Taehyun looked at his fellow witch and smiled innocently.

“He is completely fine”

The next day was the start of the weekend and Yeonjun decided to visit his new boyfriend at his apartment complex.

Yeonjun knocked on the door loudly knowing Soobin was a deep sleeper.

He waited for a while and then knocked again when Soobin wasn’t answering the door.

Is he fine?, Yeonjun wondered and tried opening the door. It opened easily.

He didn’t lock the door?
Yeonjun entered the apartment and looked around.

The apartment seems fine, he noted and approached a half-open door, thinking it was Soobin’s room; and it was.

He was shocked to see his boyfriend on the floor.

“SOOBIN!” he yelled and crouched down to help Soobin get up.

The younger stirred.

“Yeon… Jun?” he called.

“Yeah, it’s me… are you ok? Are you sick?” Yeonjun helped Soobin sit on his bed.

Soobin shook his head.

“No, I'm fine… I think I ate something bad yesterday… I came home last night with a really bad stomach ache… I thought I was going to die” Soobin explained.

“Wh-why’re you here?” Soobin asked.

“It’s Saturday… I was hoping we’d spend the day together” Yeonjun answered.

“Oh? Since you’re here… can you please make something for me?” Soobin requested with puppy eyes.

Yeonjun nodded.

“Of course I can!”

Yeonjun looked around in the kitchen cabinets and the fridge to only find—outdated cereal, almond milk packs (plural!) instant noodles and carrots.

“Are you kidding me?” Yeonjun turned to face Soobin who watched him, a smile on his face.

Something about the smile gave Yeonjun an unsettling feeling.

He brushed away his thought and crossed his arms and made an ‘angry’ face at Soobin.

“Binnie! You really need to get some healthy stuff in your kitchen”

“What do you mean? Didn’t you see the carrots?”

“Carrots!? They…” Yeonjun sighed.

“Get dressed, we’re going shopping”

Soobin pushed the trolley as Yeonjun picked out items.

“Jun, I'm broke, I can’t afford all this” Soobin spoke up as he eyed the items being placed in the cart.

“Hm? Oh, don’t worry, I’ll pay for it”

“What? Y-you don’t need to!”

“Aw, c’mon! I’ll do anything for my baby” Yeonjun grinned widely as he faced Soobin.

“your baby?” Soobin smiled and scoffed.

Yeonjun giggled and then suddenly bumped into someone.

“Oh! I'm so sorry! didn’t see you there” the stranger gripped on Yeonjun’s arm to stop him from tumbling to the ground.

“I'm sorry too! I wasn’t looking” Yeonjun apologized as well.

Soobin just eyed the grip on his Yeonjun’s arm.

The stranger laughed.

“we should be more careful, eh?”

“Get your hand off of him” Soobin spoke, his voice sharp.

The stranger looked at him and hurriedly retreated his hand.

“Ahaha, sorry! I’ll be going now” the stranger scurried away.

There was a silence which soon got broken by Yeonjun’s awkward laugh.

“Who knew you’d be one of those possessive boyfriends huh?” Yeonjun smiled at Soobin who sighed.

“I don’t know what came over me”

Yeonjun nodded.

“It’s alright… now let’s continue our shopping!” Yeonjun skipped ahead.

Soobin stayed glued to his position, one thought circulating his mind,
Why did I get an urge to harm that stranger at that moment?
